Not their intended purpose but I've also found these are great as motion control/stability shoes. I have arch problems and a navicular accessory (infused baby foot bone, what the heck right) and the rigid soles of cycling shoes are exactly what I need.

These are bicycle shoes that you can attach two-bolt MTB cleats to. Those cleats, mate to mountain bike pedals that you can only use if you have shoes like these with cleats attached. These shoes will not take 3-bolt road cleats.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, you should not buy these shoes.
Walkable shoes like these are not quite as efficient as hard-soled bike shoes, but I can verify that they're still far more efficient than clips and straps.
Unlike hard-soled MTB and road shoes, you don't have to live in fear of going inside a store because your shoes become ice skates on any hard floor.
