I wouldn't recommend it. These shoes have a fitting in the sole that allows you to clip into bike pedals. It's not meant for everyday walking

I picked up a pair of velo samba last year and they fit very small.

As a road biker, I'm thinking about using MTB SPD pedals and cleats. I really don't like waddling around in speedplays or SPD-SL.

Agree with the above that you should size half up. I'm a 12 in Brooks, ASICS, Nike, but in Adidas cycling shoes I'm consistently 12.5.

Not their intended purpose but I've also found these are great as motion control/stability shoes. I have arch problems and a navicular accessory (infused baby foot bone, what the heck right) and the rigid soles of cycling shoes are exactly what I need.

I have these same ones. I really don't like the fit at all and they feel almost heavy on my feet. I have a similar pair of puma's that are lightweight and fit perfectly

Rather than bother with gimmicky useless shoes to make your bike ride more comfy, just get solid pedals that can be used with ANY shoes, even barefoot! (This is not for serious road cycling which does require clip-in shoes, of course.) Example: https://a.co/d/3a5jRzu

Doesn't seem like you understand the purpose of these shoes. It doesn't make the ride more comfy, it's to increase pedaling efficiency. It's only good if you have pedals that are meant to clip into those shoes. I would never use the pedals you're suggesting on an outdoor bike. Those pedals don't have cleats on them. Hit a bump and you're at risk of having your feet fly off the pedals

if they are like the sambas the sole is a little soft for aggresive riding. you'll feel the flex and eventually maybe the cleat. for easier riding (maybe commuting) they are great. \

Many of the people (e.g. 2nd post) clicking on this thread are more interested in the aesthetics and possibly comfort of the shoes than their functionality. My point is that for a casual rider, using a smooth flat platform pedal like what I linked is perfectly fine for recreational urban riding or commuting---AND, they would not require special shoes so the standard Stan Smith would be fine both on and off the bike.

Just so everyone understands, these are NOT regular walking shoes!

These are bicycle shoes that you can attach two-bolt MTB cleats to. Those cleats, mate to mountain bike pedals that you can only use if you have shoes like these with cleats attached. These shoes will not take 3-bolt road cleats.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, you should not buy these shoes.

I did this long ago. Recommended.

Walkable shoes like these are not quite as efficient as hard-soled bike shoes, but I can verify that they're still far more efficient than clips and straps.

Unlike hard-soled MTB and road shoes, you don't have to live in fear of going inside a store because your shoes become ice skates on any hard floor.
