Fantastic deal for a cellphone and one year unlimited service, unless you have more money than common sense, if you need a phone.

How long can you hold this phone without activation before you lose the subscription? Would like to activate it after existing plan expires.
It has usually been you must activate it within 1 year of purchase.

No, 24GB of data is part of the 'unlimited plan'. It is different than payasyougo plan.

Just reports from users on SD and other websites. Support gives inconsistent answers so not sure what to believe - but policy does say paid service & bundled service isn't considered "paid".
Yeah, TF support has always been inconsistent and unreliable. Real world experiences on Howard Forums indicate that bundled service or paid service DOES count toward unlocking. Just has to be in service for 60 days now.

From what I hear all Samsung phones are unlocked on day 1. Only non Samsung phones need to wait 60 days and then receive an automated text\email with the unlock code. My experience: have a15; called them on day 61. They told me what I said above. Tested a15 as-is with a diff career. Works. Not sure where 'extremely difficult' comes from...
I think you meant to say Samsung phones are auto unlocked on day 61?
Some other branded phones require entering an unlock code...

My order was canceled by them. I used a prepaid MasterCard. Is that the reason?

My boyfriend had his order flagged as fraud and canceled. They wouldn't let him reorder using the new customer code. He really was a new customer and never ordered from them before nor had anyone else at his address. It wasn't a prepaid card and he's never had that problem ordering from anywhere else.

If you go TracFone, just be aware that the unmitigated hellscape known as customer service awaits you like the grim reaper. I've come to believe after several grueling encounters with these unhelpful barnacles, that they are compensated not by the number of problems they solve, but based on how many hours they can keep you on the line while accomplishing nothing.
This is absolutely true. Last year all the minutes/text/data on one of my lines were wiped out because of their fault. I called them for two days. Every time they asked me to repeat everything and then transferred me to another person. Wasted two days of time but they still refused to solve the problem. Finally had to give up.

File FCC and BBB complaints and someone from exec escalations should be able to help you resolve it, provided you have proof of your balances like a screenshot.

FCC is a joke. It simply closes a complaint for whatever provider response w/o even reading it. My Metro phone is blacklisted on Tmobile for years now for no reason and FCC simply closed my complaint w/o even reading it.

Another useless 3 letter agency not serving those who pay their salary.

It rolls over. My example:

4/20/24 1yr unlimited + 24gb, expires 4/20/25
4/20/25 plan expired, used 1500 points to buy 1 mo unlimited + 1gb, voice now expires 5/20/25, 20gb data expires 6/20/25
5/10/25 activate new 1500/1500/1500 1yr plan, voice + old 20gb data all now expire 6/20/26
