For streaming day, Roku is offering their Wired Outdoor Camera for $14.99. MSRP is $50.00.

I do not own this so I have no idea if it's any good or not.

Monthly $ubscription to view into the past even though the videos are stored on your SD card. You have to pull the card to view them for without paying.

The tapo C120 (and D130 for doorbell around $44) cam's at $24.99 are a much better deal. Person, pet, package, glass break etc detection on the cam's with 24/7 recording on the microsd (up to 512gb). I just recently swapped out all my wyze cam's and can't be more thrilled. Before someone complains about the text only notifications (wyze and other cam's includes a snapshot in theirs) clicking on the notification takes you directly to the recording on the cam and starts it playing. I especially like person and doorbell press alerts triggering voice alerts on the alexa and google home devices (I have both)...alexa's allow finer filters such as person but not motion alerts. Comes with a 10 ft usb-c cable for power which means you could also run it off a power pack if necessary....also the cam's fully support access via RTSP should you want to do your own recordings/detections. Roku's cam's are modified Wyze cam's. They intentionally make sure the firmware for each will not work on the other. The roku ad also makes sure to mention "motion detection" but nothing is mentioned about person detection which on wyze is a subscription only feature. Either the same for roku or they just don't offer person detection.

Awesome find. Wanted to try these during the Christmas sale when they were $20 if I remember correctly.

yep wont spend a single dime on a roku product. These are just rebaged wyze devices that don't work with the wyze ecosystem

as for the tv side of roku I'm not buying anymore and encourage everyone to stop. they turned on motion smoothing on all roku badged TVs without a way to turn it off and more recently they introduced for some folks non skippable ads before you can jump into a streaming service. Roku needs people to not just boycott but they need a class action lawsuit.
