If your ceiling fan shakes and don't move much air, get one of these dc motor fan. Don't have to be this one. More valuable upgrade I did in years

Doesn't appear to have any sort of safety listing from UL, CE, ETL, or CSA. Be cautious buying this sort of thing without one of those certifications present, especially since similar certified products generally exist. Saving $100 isn't worth a house fire, IMO.

I have 2 of these 52" Chinese dc motor ceiling fans. And 2 42" fans. I wouldn't hesitate at this price. Pushes a decent amount of air and very silent. Dimmer. Timer. Reverse button. Control is only through the remote but the remote is decent. Not the best looking fan but very functional. Better looking than the ice cream parlor style fans. Gave away my Hampton Bay fan and installed a dc motor fan.

Remember with these DC fans, you lose the ability to use a wall dimmer for the light, or an in wall fan speed controller (if you have one). I'm personally not a fan of being a slave to the remote.

Thanks for that tip! Any fans you would recommend?
