Depends on your location if it gets hot and windy then its not the best idea as the bin is open and exposed to the elements.
These "commercial" style ice makers basically continously run water over a cold plate and will pickup anything in the air locking tyem into your ice onve frozen. There is also frequent maintance if you keep it plugged in 24/7. The ideal use case is if you atr going through lots of ice, not allowing the bin to fill up and sit for days on end as they are basically an cooler without active refigeration.
If you dont plan on running through a lot of ice then it may be better to run the machine for a day or two then bag the ice and place in a freezer. Clean and drain the machine, keeping it off til the next use.
I dont have any experience with this particular machine, but do have a whirlpool under counter ice maker in the house and a large scotsman in the garage for seasonal use.
