We are both going to live in a world of regret when the first USB-C air fryer microwave toaster oven combo comes to market next year.
Not yet. Mbp 16 does 140w with 240w cable. Several chipsets have been released supporting 240w recently though so we should see more high end devices supporting that in the next couple of years

Serious question, what devices pull 200+ watts over USB?

What is the significance of this? Are these cables unreliable?

Lol I asked the same thing last time. I wouldn't buy to "future proof". It's an always changing "standard". They will probably add some kind of new chip to the cable and then we're back to square one basically lol.

I mean, Apple cables are not usb-IF certified either...these are $3 cables, they're not going to pay for usb-IF licensing and certification to sell at these prices

Why do they say:
Compatible with Thunderbolt 5/4/3, USB4, USB-C Port
and then
USB 2.0 (480mbps), No Video
Never seen any deals on good data cables

Because it'll charge all of those just fine, it just has slow data transfer

USB IF certification is the most brutal torture test in the industry.

If you have "zero fail" mission critical uses, you want IF certification on your cables.

Cable Matters is reputable and usually doesn't screw up however.

Great deal for lifetime warranty cables. Anyone have any experience as to how long they typically last before needing to use warranty? Anker typically last me 2 years when using the same one nearly all the time. Since then I have a new cable in practically every living space so they are all perfect still at this point.

Framework 16 laptop can make use of 240w charging but the chargers are hard to find so they shipped with 180w chargers. Many folks have sourced 240w ones themselves which allows higher power limits for the cpu I believe.
