I second this. The campaign is pretty damn good even if you never touch the multiplayer.

So is it worth it for "ultimate edition" at double the price of standard?
(Yeah, I know it's only a buck differenceBig Grin)

I still install this from time to time and play the campaign. This game got trashed, because it had bad multiplayer, but the campaign was great and still holds up.

I also want to know, does the "ultimate edition" add anything worthwhile to single player?

Seems like the bonus stuff for the Ultimate Edition are just extras for multiplayer. I'm not even sure if there are enough people still playing multiplayer to be worth the extra dollar.

Not being facetious (& I've never actually played the game, myself) but is everybody here just jumping on a troll-train or something? If memory serves, HARDLINE got absolutely trashed for its single-player campaign & story elements way back in the day & it was its multiplayer modes that were deemed its sole saving grace, right? Well, at least across the spectrum of the video game critic community, anyway. Does this game *actually* feature a reasonably compelling solo experience?
