With new Dell models coming out, can this go down to $799? I like the CPU and RAM.
This is the new 2025 model. The deal is good if you can get the 10% off. $799 you are looking at series 1 ultra 7 with a smaller drive and 1080p screen

Yes, this has better tech such as HDMI 2.1 and WIFI and screen is good, CPU is great
I can get the series 1 ultra 7, 32G RAM, 1TB SSD and a decent NVIDIA VGA and Win 11 PRO for $699 at MicroCenter. Looks the same outside. I don't know if $400 different is worth it. You can get another laptop for $400, or a very good 4K monitor.

Would a system like this be okay for a light video editing (30 minute videos, 1080p) and some animation? How would something like this compare to an Alienware 16 Ultra 9 with RTX 5060? I realize Alienware will probably be better but in what ways? Are Adobe video editing programs going to run slower or are they more likely to crash...? Things like that. Thanks

If this on sale for around $800 I will buy

It's antiglare so possibly easier to view than a brighter glossy reflective screen in sunlight.
