I bought this a couple months ago. I do think I paid around $20. I used them to do some outlets and switches to update the outlets a bit. They are Great but was a little
Trouble to stuff all the wires back into the box. Wires capped are more flexible. These add a rigid square Lego sized box that doesn't like to be moved or bent in just any old ways.. that being said I still managed to stuff everything back into the box safely. And the hold is strong, I could just yank the wire out of the connection. 9/10 would recommend.. made the job extremely easy. Also if you're going to switch outlets the lever action ones are great you shove them in the back and close the levers to secure. They are different from the back Stab outlets.
FYI - HF has knockoff Wagos now. $10 for a 25 piece kit. There's also 10% off coupon for the holiday, but there's probably something better to use it on. https://www.harborfreight.com/com...70056.html
The testing done on Wagos is well documented, with video online of people putting multiple times the rated amperage for Wagos and the wire insulation would catch fire before the wago failed or melted enough for the metal connection to fail. I've talked to electricians who use these for installing light fixtures with stranded wire, and there is no problems mentioned with their use.

I use them for adding smart switches to light switch junction boxes as trying to twist 4+ wires into one giant wire nut takes up way more space than the 5 port wago connector, which is flat and allows for better organization in the box plus easier changeouts later if desired.

Damn I love these. replacing ceiling fans in my house.

very nice that I can pull the fans down and hook these up and not have to worry about shorts before I hang the next fan.
These and a nice pair of automatic wire strippers really just made the task enjoyable.

These are super handy. Ordered a box. Took me awhile to figure out where to enter the GSKZUXXM code, though. It's located in the payment section where you'd apply rewards points if you have an Amazon rewards credit card.

Most common is cut and pull variety. Amazon has options from Klein, Knipex, and all the way down to random letter brands.

They've been cheaper...but don't see deals posted this year.
But even this same seller has lower unit cost if buying in bulk, here's 78pc for $0.47/unit (vs $0.57/unit for the 28-piece here, which is 21% more expensive):

that's been my issue with them when i tried them... just too big for what they are. a taped wire nut on a twisted set of 12Ga is much more manageable in boxes.
also the cost obviously, wire nuts are a 1/4 of the price.

I bought these (Link below- not a deal just a reference) a few years ago- highly recommend this or similar type. The type Audiophan is referring to (I think) is different but also heard good things. Just google "Automatic wire stripper and cutter"

Automatic wire strippers have are set up to cut most sizes of wire. They work by squeezing the handles which pinches and cuts the insulation and stripes it away in one movement. They are great when they work. But sometimes they will cut into the metal and bit and jamb. You should be able to find them at most big box stores.

These are quite good for connecting stranded wire to solid wire which is kind of a pain with wire nuts. I buy mine in person at HD though even though the cost is higher because I don't trust amazon to not have fakes mixed in potentially.

These are the exact ones I got and they are great. They are also wide enough to strip three wires at once

How often are you replacing fans!?!? I guess it depends how often you use it.
