It's worth mentioning that last time I bought these these shoes really tapered towards the front and get tight towards the toes so I ended up returning . They're really nice shoes, but the taper doesn't work I think for most people.

You weren't kidding. I looked at the top view picture and it looked very narrow. I read the reviews and lot of complaints saying the same thing. I have wide feet so I am going to pass. Going up a half size doesn't really fix the problem.
