Have this and am selling it. It's not good. When it was the only option on the market - I grabbed it, and it's been horrible from day 1. Bad signal strength, many standard features lacking, and the value for the money just isn't there. Grab a ubiquity cloud gateway and AP for the same price and have equipment (and network) that is 100x better.

This worked as advertised for me. Had one on the first floor and was me on the second floor.

I have a 1.5gb connection. Main was on first floor. 2600 sqft house. Got every bit of that 1.5 to the satelite one and my pc that was wired to it. Got no less than 750mbps in the furthest corners of my house.

Not sure what about other guys experience was BUT my issues were mostly with the ecosystem. As a standalone router it's a beast but using it as a mesh you don't have as many tweaks or controls, you don't get all the little features and controls that even the deco app from the same company has. The leds are cool but you can't control the satellites just the main even though the tab says you can.

i see 20% back on this if charged to a prime card, bringing it down to ~$265 plus tax. I'd be more inclined if I hadn't already gone for the "gaming edition" at a $20 premium.

Amazon also has the Archer BE700 on sale, & with a $50 promo code, for $250. It essentially has similar specs. I just bought that model, easy setup, fast throughput. & Unlike the BE800, which has received numerous negative reviews, the BE700 has a much better reputation.

Genuinely glad you're taking precautions...

You prefer the American government or something? Everyone knows you watch porn, and nobody cares. You aren't doing anything important on your home network.

The Asus be96u router is a much better router for 429.99 if you clip the coupon.

I bought the BE700 (BE15000) last week during prime sale ($230 - 25% cashback). It was to replace my aging Netgear RAX45 in a high interference (from other APs) environment.

It looks to have 4x4 on 6Ghz band but cut down 5Ghz band vs BE800. Also 1x 10Ghz WAN, 1x 2.5Ghz + 3x 1Ghz LAN.

The 6Ghz channel was clear, but it kept disconnecting at the same distance (~150ft away through 3 dry walls). I'm having to use 5Ghz band to maintain stable connection, but BE700's bandwidth on 5Ghz band is less than my RAX45 (not a huge difference in actual use though).

The 6 built-in antennas of the BE700 perform a little worse than RX45's 4 external antennas. However my main pain is 6Ghz band performance (separate SSID) is quite bad. Range is less than 5Ghz and results in high latency and frequent disconnects.

I'm trying to understand 6Ghz/wifi6e/7 to hopefully tune this thing to work better in my environment. I love its integrated design and new tech (I have 3 wifi6e/7 devices and 2 more coming in, hence the need to upgrade to wifi7). The separate iot network is much appreciated too as it increases security and isolate slow IOT devices from the main network.

6Ghz channel range is less than 5Ghz as it supposed to be, right? and 2.4Ghz has the best range.

Moving up to better AC86U -> GT-AX6000, 2.4Ghz range is similar, and 5Ghz range is improved. If you can still have connection with 150 ft away through 3 dry walls, that is still better than I expected although it is not so stable.

I have open floorplan, and this makes me feel itching to upgrade as 6Ghz would cover my house.

Yup, the higher the frequency, the less signal is able to go through objects without distortion. However, I didn't think 150ft with 3 walls (some open air path in between but not line of sight) would be that much of a challenge. I repositioned the router a bit higher and got some improvement, but it wasn't enough. I was hoping 6Ghz (with much less inteference) would be better than my 5Ghz signal with tons of other APs around.

I might have to add a wifi6e/7 mesh unit.

That said, I switched back to 5Ghz and got similar results as before the swap
