To get the ATT deal can you simply use your existing account without adding or changing lines? I have an old legacy plan that usually keeps me out of any deals sadly.

Did you cancel the line within 3 days?

Quote from ladxdvine :
Never got an e-mail from AT&T about the bill, but just checked online and this is what it's showing for me:

Activity since last bill
$6.00
Activation Fee (June 03)
$35.00
One-time charge
4GB Phone (June 03 - June 06)
$8.00
Service changed on Jun 03 - partial month charge
Credit - Activation Fee (June 05)
-$35.00
One-time credit
4GB Phone (June 06 - June 06)
-$2.00
Service changed on Jun 06 - partial month credit
Company fees & surcharges
$0.02
Federal Universal Service Charge
$0.02
Read bill & payment info, news & offers
Total
$6.02

Looks like they credited the activation fee automatically. So in total, $432 + $45.36 + $6.02 = $483.38. I paid more than that for an S24 FE for my mom last month, so happy Slickdealer here!

I successfully reimaged the phone. No more AT&T logo.
Many thanks!
Did you download the file from https://samfrew.com/firmware/mode...Desc/0/10?
Expected time is 10+ hours and it gets disconnected often.

Ignore this, I was able to download from Sammobile as you mentioned.

Can we remove the Verizon bloatware through this method before the 60 day unlock period? I am wondering if it will impact the unlock process, Has anyone done that?

Congrats! That makes a big difference if cancelled within 3 days. I cancelled on the 4th day, and I got charged $17 for surcharges, taxes, and regulatory fees on $8 prorated service fee for 4 days plus $35 activation fee. Although I was able to dispute the activation fee, it will only be refunded in the next bill as per ATT. Those fees and taxes will not be refunded, ended up paying $25 if the activation fee is refunded as advised.

It might not automatically unlock with non-vzw. I'd do it after the phone is unlocked.

Just sharing but for those on Verizon, someone mentioned when generating their NTP that is threw them an additional $20 loyalty discount for 1 yr as well. My line had a welcome bonus as well of $15/mo for 3 years. With auto pay and nurse discount that could get unlimited welcome down to close to $26/mo before you leave.

Not worth it for me with Visible/Total/US Mobile priority data deals but something to be aware of before you cancel service if you can get it down cheap enough to be usable for you.

I also had a $15 per month promo on the account (Verizon) and it gave some offer when requesting the transfer pin, can't remember how much but both discounts still wouldn't have made the line cheaper than what I already had.

Likely not, and I don't think any amount of discounts can get it as low as the Visible + $30 for 3 years right now which is basically Verizon's unlimited plus. Still throwing it out there though.

You will be out of 3 days but see my other pinned comment on how to get rid of activation fee instantly from the bill as an one time courtesy from ATT. So you don't need to worry about activation fee but don't cancel the line before you can get the phone unlocked.
Hello
I got into an issue, as I stated last time, I got the phone just today, but already a bill generated yesterday (with activation fee+monthly line charge+device installment+other charges).
After receiving the phone today I paid off the phone, which got reflected to the and did the sim swap, which got changed from the new phone the other phone in the account portal.
After all these I tried to unlocked the phone but getting the following error attached( which I guess because of the bill generated unexpectedly, correct me if I am wrong)
Error: "You can't unlock your device until your installment plan is paid off. If you pay off your device as part of your monthly bill, wait until the start of your next bill period to unlock it.
Want to pay off your device early? Make sure your number has been active on the device for at least 60 days. Then, sign into your account to review and pay off your installment plan. Wait 48 hours after you make your final payment to submit a new unlock request."
please guide me to get this issue resolved

Another DP for Verizon:

- 6/9: Purchased S24U and Verzon account created
- 6/11: Phone received (via OnTrac) and activated
- 6/12: Paid off in a corporate-owned store. No issues, just told to have the exact amount ($432) if paying in cash. Immediately got a payment confirmation in email and showed on my Verizon account as paid off.
- 6/12: Cancelled service via chat. Activation fees waived by the first rep but was told some balance is still there due to proration and other "charges". Didn't ask for specifics, disconnected and started a new chat. This rep said she will issue a credit for the balance and will show up in 5-7 business days.

Need to confirm next week of the final bill being $0. All in all, not too bad of an experience for a new S24U!

The pay off takes at least midnight or a day to reflect in the unlock so try it after midnight today or after 24 hours.
