So they run credit? The reason I ask is because my credit is locked/frozen with the 3 agencies. If they do check credit, I'll need to unfreeze/unlock before placing order.

I ordered another phone on the 12th and got the phone this morning, paid it off already, created and account with VZ and I can see the line and the phone 100% paid off. When the 3 days is going to be over? from the day I purchased the phone or when I turned on and activated the phone? Should I just go through the chat and cancel the line now or wait until Monday?
You should cancel ASAP. The clock starts from when the line is activated so during order/when the phone is being shipped out. There is no need to wait for cancellation if the phone is paid off. Make sure to get the activation fee credited etc as well during the chat

Yes they do run a soft check so you need to unfreeze them.

If he does not use camera that much plus is good enough.
Gotcha. Yeah I don't think the extra 100mah is a big difference. Hopefully the performance and cooling is the same. Only big difference is resale value down the line but he plans to keep it til it dies so that shouldn't matter.

Do you think I did the canceling att service correctly?

You should try to chat again and ask for immediate credit on the current bill. That is better than waiting for credit to apply as doing credit on a cancelled account is tricky if things don't work. I think you did but make sure the line is cancelled.

I just spoke to someone and was able to cancel the line, but they said the bill was already generated so I need to pay that activation fees plus something else and the total would be $50 for next cycle. Should I chat again and ask for immediate cycle credit?

I ordered VZW S24U on 12th. The OnTrac tracking number is generated but it still says that label created. Now it says, expected delivery on 17th. Any idea how screwed I am in terms of reversing the activation fees of $35?

Do you see the bill yet? You can get the activation fee voided instantly, see my pinned comment. I'd chat again, CS reps can apply credit to the current bill but I'd first void the activation fee myself.

Did you get email from VZW about new line/account? If so your line is already activated and the counter for 3 days has started. Unlike ATT, Verizon does not offer one time courtesy waive of activation fee. CS reps can apply any credit but it's hard to convince them.

I did get an email on 13th with subject line You have a new account email address. But when I go online and try to log in with the account, I am unable to. Also, I tried to change the password but the option for getting a password reset is to get it sent over US post to my address. 😂

I ended up paying $380 oop to Verizon for the final bill. I called and had the activation fee waived but the prorated charges of mostly taxes they wouldn't budget on. Dude seemed angry I got the phone for $360 and kept saying it was a price mistake, how did I get a $1000 phone for that price and all kinds of bs. He must've been in a seriously bad mood. Normally I would've hung up in someone's face for being rude like that but was scared he'd do something to the account. Anywho, on the Verizon site under documents and receipts, the activation document will show the actual activation date. Mine was set for the 6th, a day after the phone shipped. It was received on the 7th and the line canceled the same day.

I keep getting "We are unable to retrieve your account data. Please try again later." when trying to get it as an upgrade on my Veizon account through this deal. Any ideas if I need to call Walmart or Verizon?
I paid off the line I was trying to upgrade and unfroze my credit and I still get same "unable to retrieve account" error from Walmart. Anyone have an idea how to proceed?
