The benefit of allulose over other sweeteners is that it has a freezing point similar to sugar when dissolved. So it makes very good sugar-free ice cream.

Thanks OP!

I've been using allulose with the Ninja Creami, and as the above poster mentioned, allulose seems to work really well in sugar free ice cream.

I bought this exact bag a few weeks ago.

Works incredibly well with almond milk, vanilla, and cinnamon to create a zero-calorie glaze for baked goods or even be used inside some baked goods themselves. I've not noticed any weird aftertaste that you find with a lot of sugar substitutes.

I remember seeing a potential side effect of consuming allulose being "flatulence with discharge" and having a laugh at the phrasing. This stuff seems to have gut issues like stevia, only with a little more tendency toward the moose with loose poops.

FYI, the FDAs designation of Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) is mostly worthless. Large food corporations can fund their own research and claim that their product is safe to pass the established requirements. It was a program with good intentions when it was created (50s, I think?) that is in desperate need of modernization. Hell, look at artificial food colors. They are GRAS, even though some, like red 40, have a decent research base establishing them as harmful. It has always seemed strange that we need to have monumental proof of an ingredient causing harm before it will be removed from the GRAS list. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Like, if there is any risk of harm, shouldn't it be removed until it is proven otherwise?

By the end of page 1 comments I was buying. By the end of page 3 I'm not buying and throwing out my other artificial sweeteners. By the end of page 5 I needed a cigarette.

This in my opinion is the best sugar substitute both in health and taste ….. IF you can stomach it. Unfortunately I cannot - it just destroys my stomach.

I bought this to help make sugar-free slushies in my Ninja Slushi. It works well in terms of helping it freeze and not being too sweet, but it will make your insides feel like they want to be on the outside. Worked better than bowel prep for a colonoscopy.

I've gone through 2 bags using it in coffee. Doesn't spike blood sugar, which is great.

Actually you are paying for a substance that was once and is currently classified as a laxative at mild amounts

Using Allulose in a Ninja even for the smallest beverage will require a cup or more

Sending prayers for your asshole and GI system if you are drinking a cup or more of allulose a day - and you will need WAYYYYYY more than cup for a zero soda

I don't use anywhere near a cup for the Ninja Creami, only a tablespoon in a pint and it is sweet enough along with flavored greek yogurt. Who would use 1 cup?!

Allulose, a low-calorie, natural sugar alternative, is currently not approved for use in Europe. In the EU, it's classified as a "novel food," requiring a formal approval process before it can be sold. This approval process involves assessments by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the UK Food Safety Authority, as it's considered a new food ingredient that has not been available for long enough to be thoroughly tested, according to the UK Food Standards Agency

I bought allulose sweetener and made sweet tea with it. My wife and I drank about 3 glasses in the afternoon and evening. We both farted so much that we kept waking each other up during the night, and I kept farting so often that there was no way I could go to work the next day - almost continuously, and high volumes.
