I see that Amazon has the Infimobile(Verizon) 12-month, unlimited talk/text with 15GB high speed data cell plan for $112.50 again right now. Looks like the T-mobile variant is no longer this price.

Does anyone know if the purchase and activation of this plan will add another year to an already existing plan that expires three months from now? Thanks

It would have been the best deal if hotspot was also included

I was curious as well, was told in chat that no, it can not be applied to an existing account and the only way to extend those is to use https://infimobile.com/recharge

I'm not familiar with this service. Does it mean coverage is through Verizon?

For this deal, yes. They also do t-mobile, but it's not on special.

Thanks!

I went to the recharge page, and they have a promotion for 10gb 12months for $99. Hmmm....

thats not too bad.
I am 4 months into the 1 year 15gb plan (same as posted, but from January/February this year) and have been happy with the service. I rarely use more than 5gb, so the 10 would work for me.
Right now the 15gig renewal is $125, so just a bit more than this deal.
My wife is on their 5 gig plan, renewal is only $75 for 12 months, which is about $8 cheaper than what I paid initially for her. I could probably get away with the 500mb plan for her ($60/yr), she has used 0 data in the past 15 days in the current month cycle, and don't think she has ever used more than a few mb regardless.
For $170 I could renew for another year for both phones (10 gig and 5 gig plans) and not worry about it for another 20 months (and to think I thought I was getting a decent deal when I was paying $100/month for 4 lines on Cricket with capped speeds vs ~$400 for 2 lines for 2 years.)
As you said, Hmmm...
I do need to get my mom and sister onto this deal. They are with Xfinity now under a grandfathered plan of $18/month of 1 gig shared data (2 phones), but my sister uses 2-3 gigs a month sometimes, so usually closer to $50/month. My mom would be the 500mb plan, sister maybe the 5 gig, but probably the 15 gig. It would pay for itself in <4 months.

You can add hotspot for $5/month (limited to 5gb), so means you are paying $173-year/$14.42-month for 15 gigs data, unlimited talk and text, and hotspot (not sure if the 5gb is take from the 15gb total or is a separate bucket of data).
What other plans are similar to this for less?

I've had it for several months now. Seems as good as any other MVNO provider that I've had, but for a great price. I started out with the T-mobile SIM(they sent me the wrong one I think...there was only 1 choice on the Amazon product page at that time). I had trouble getting a good signal with that in a couple places so about 3 or 4 months in I asked to be switched over to the Verizon SIM. They did charge me $5 to change networks & I had to re-setup my voicemail, but I am WAY happier with the Verizon network, but I don't think it's Infimobile's fault about the poor T-Mobile coverage....It's more likely that T-Mobile just isn't as good for me where I travel. I usually use chat for any interaction with their CS since I have found that it's easier & more productive than speaking on the phone with CS that uses foreign-born CS agents. So far it hasn't been too bad an experience.

Trying out a one month for $5, so far so good. I hope it's not they giving me a honeymoon period to lure me in...

You would need a unlocked + Verizon compatible phone to use this.
