How does it work with pc games for example Xbox ports? Does it? If so how does it know how to map the buttons correctly?

On pc it's xinput I think so you can remap buttons or use steam input

As a Sega Genesis nerd, Retro-Bit controllers are better than the M30. 8Bitdo is the go to brand for retro Nintendo controllers though.
