Cannot recommend this monitor at all after my experience. Sure, it's nice with great picture but mine has a flickering problem. It will randomly go black for 1-3 seconds while playing videos on YouTube or video games even. Seems to be a common problem. I've been fighting with customer service for 1.5 months. They sent 2 poorly refurbished models, 1 died in less than a day of use and the other was in bad shape when it arrived. Either they aren't refurbishing them properly or they are just shipping returned units back out. They are now refusing my request to replace it with a new monitor. After my experience with their customer service, I will not buy Dell again.

Best Buy had this monitor on sale for this price a month ago. I bought open box in excellent condition for $741. Great monitor.

I picked this monitor up back in March. After using an 11% CB offer from capital one shopping it brought the cost down.

Pros: extremely adjustable in tilt and height using the stand it comes with. Multiple HDMI inputs and digital port. OLED looks great with game consoles, movie playback in certain games. The Windows 11 desktop does look good proportionally on this monitor.

Cons: this monitor has a glossy screen. Works incredibly well in a very dark or dimly lit room. Perhaps not the best choice for office or production use. Better for games. However, it does have display settings controls and user custom presets. So I'm not saying it's impossible to use it for anything but games.

I use mine in a dimly lit room with some natural sunlight. It is a different noticeable experience compared to having a flat no gloss screen.

People I know that had this and recommended it said they really just used it as a gaming monitor only.
Wish I had rememebered the capital one extension... On this pc I didn't install it and I sued another CB site and they haven't even shown it as pending and I am at 30 days.

If they don't pay out and I don't use the dell rewards then this ended up around $777 after coupon and amex offer... so not THAT much savings to be worth keeping it if I'm not happy. I'd rather have 27 inch, but the asus hurt my head and the other 27 inchers are rated poorly for calibration OOTB.

I think nvidia released a driver update for this issue

Like I said in the earlier deal thread, 30 days now and still no CB notification from the CB site. Also, the monitor makes popping sounds when turning on and it goes away in like 10mintues, which means it's heat causing it. The model is known for getting microscratches, as well, and the curve is somewhat annoying. Only reason i am considering keeping it is because most monitors hurt my head and this one doesn't hurt it as much. I am right at 30 days so today is the last day to decide what to get.The 27 inch asus exclusive one a best buy looked much, much more impressive. Many videos had a stunning image and many on the alienware are not impressing me. I would look for a 27 that is ok for my head, but most of those are not calibrated well. only the asus is.
Sorry to hear you are having these issues. Mine has been perfect. Popping sounds? Nope. Scratches easily? Nope, I've cleaned my monitor multiple times. I also got this monitor because I love the curve on it. It suits a larger monitor like this and curves naturally giving consistent view angles, which I prefer to a flat 32 which gives angled corner views. I've tested this side by side with the Asus 27 inch (Best Buy exclusive XG27), the only thing I noticed was that the Asus colors were more "popping" and saturated and the AW was more color accurate in Standard setting, but I was able to match the same color pop of the Asus by changing the display setting to MOBA/RTS and increasing the saturation value to 55. On the flip side I was not able to make the Asus look more natural and color accurate. Glad the AW can give both looks.

I have the AW3423DW for over 3 years now and I just tried out the Samsung G9 Odyssey OLED for $900. I didn't like it and I am returning it. Has anyone upgraded to the AW3225QF from AW3423DW? I have the Dell 10% coupon, $100 off $500 Amex offer CB site brings the total to just over $700 including tax I believe so it's super tempting.

There is also 9% back in Dell rewards bringing the theoretical price to around $650

This is one of the monitos that has a slight curb, first time hearing someone complaining about it.

I had a 3418dw (ips) and a 3423dw (oled) and had this 32" fall into my lap for free. For my desk it works a bit better, because it's 4" inches less wide. Since it's 4k though it does push about 67% more pixels, but the underlying tech feels basically the same. The 240hz is nice, and the new menu is nice, but honestly if I had to buy it as a 3423dw owner I wouldn't buy it. The text fringing never bothered me on the 3423 but that's mostly might be the only real reason to upgrade. Since this has a higher DPI text is naturally crisper at 125% scaling so it looks good and easier to read at roughly the same real text size.

I put them both in the modes that RTINGs said were most accurate for the 2 models. The text was much, much, much crisper on the 27 inch due to pixel layout difference and smaller size. Then sub-4k video looked stunning on the asus and on the alienware it has looked bland.

Now I am likely stuck with it unless dell agrees to let me return it 1 day late.

It isn't horrible, but it still bugs me. I also have the samsung curved oled they made many years ago before they took a break from oled for years. I get tired of that being curved also because for one thing reflections get weird on it.

I bought this monitor from best buy in "open box - excellent" condition. Silly me didn't open it until my new standing desk arrived 15 days later. Out the box, doesn't turn on. Best Buy won't do anything because the return window is 15 days, not 30.

At the same time of my open box purchase, I bought the same monitor, brand new. Was thinking dual display. So far, knock on wood, no issues.

Not looking forward to dealing with Dell's customer service.

Plenty of other reviews about issues with this monitor. Consider this model to be a toss up before purchasing.

When the monitor is off you can see the curb, but when it's in use you can't really tell since it has a slight curb barely noticeable. I've seen other monitors and I don't see myself getting into them since they have a huge curb and don't think it's ideal if you do other stuff other than gaming.

Yet another annoyance with this is EVERY single time you turn the monitor on it sends MULTIPLE notifications about alienware software trying to get you to install it. I am past the date to return this and really wish I had just returned it and gotten a 27 inch from another company.

have two of these but can't get nvidia surround to work.
I have an alienware w/4090 card and each of these are plugged into displayport using dell-supplied cable. Screens just go black when surround is enabled.
Tried studio drivers too.
Any tips?

Yeah, I have it and use only for productivity. It's great.
