I love my dremel because it's light, small and easy to maneuver. But would love a battery powered version to add to my Dewalt collection. This looks heavy and big… any feedback from those who own it ?

I have this but i prefer the m12 rotary tool (Dremel). Much` smaller and easier for what i do. The Die grinder is really a much more heavy version of the dremel and you really don't need one unless you do metalwork or maybe welding. I've also seen it used for carving when people make larger pieces.

I love die grinders but I just don't have the use case for this one unless i just want a yellow die grinder. The ryobi die grinder is just too good.

I recently bought this tool and love it. Wish I had bought it years ago. I use it at least once a week and can't imagine ever being without. Too many uses to list. However, I'm tinkering in the shop almost every day, so YMMV depending on how much you're spending on that kind of stuff.

Strange they have not released a compact variation on die grinders, polishers, and cutoff battery powered tools.

Those Milwaukee Bosch and even the cheap Walmart ones are great little tools for brief duty use.

I know it's not always applicable/possible, but I find pneumatic die grinders far more useful, at least for doing metal work on cars. I have a die grinder like this, and I find it to be too large for most applications. The Milwaukee M12 grinders are more compact but the battery life is a joke. The fact that this is variable speed is pretty nice though. If I could go back I would have just pooled all my money into a large compressor instead of electric grinders. Still this seems like a nice little deal.

Hopefully this means a right angle die grinder is coming soon.
