Alternatively, Home Depot has 2" steel spring clamps for 99¢ every day. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Anvil.../302755764

Edit: They have bins of these in-store and you can buy as many as you want, but if you have to order on-line they come in packs of 10.

If you have a dollar tree near you, they offer 2 of the exact same clamp for $1.25.

I will be needing clamps and looked at these.

I was told by HB that if a clamp should break they will replace it. Not sure if that makes it worth that much more the DT.

I want to add that I also saw the ones at DT and the clamping strength felt nearly the same.

I've returned & exchanged things that broke from dollar tree without a problem. Just hold onto the receipt.

I can't believe they still make/sell these. I have an old package of HF clamps and they all suck horribly - the tip fell off most of this design a long time ago.

Limited grip strength on the clamps. Good for a "3rd hand" to hold/align something, but not for pressure squeezing anything like holding glued wood pieces while drying or thinking it will stay in place while drilling a hole or screw (the pieces will shift).

I have to ask. Are these too heavy duty for nipples?

These are worthless. Last time I bought a dozen, half of them broke pretty much right away and the rest within a few months. HD has steel clamps for the same price which won't just snap in half.
