Of all the services Mint Mobile had the worst bandwidth by far. I don't know all the intricacies of MVNO data tiering, but Mint Mobile has to be pretty low. I'd do side by side comparisons with T-mobile and Mint (who uses T-Mobile network), and the difference was astronomical. We're talking upwards of 80-90% slower, esp. during peak hours.
I only bothered testing in the first place to confirm my suspicions that Mint Mobile throttled because I'd literally have trouble loading websites when I was out and about.
That brings us to US Mobile. They use both Verizon and AT&T, you choose. Obviously I went w/ verizon because.. well Verizon. US Mobile has done some voodoo magic by actually securing priority data, so easily 10 times faster than Mint in almost every scenario.
You can even interchangeably switch between the two networks. Here's the zinger... alot of carriers say you can do this and that, but US Mobile web and mobile app actually make it EASY to do. Practically everything is self serve in a very clear, and easy to use interface.
If you ever have to chat support, I've never waited longer than 30 seconds to connect, and have always had someone who was polite and solved whatever issue I was having.
So 1. Fastest MVNO 2. Most flexible MVNO 3. Most featureset of any MVNO 4. best App and self-service of any MVNO 5. best customer service of any MVNO... It's also actually the same price if not cheaper than most reputable MVNO (on the annual plan).
I seriously am still trying to figure out what the deal is, for now I'm not complaining and just enjoying the solid service.
Sorry, Super Shilly I know. Swear to god I'm just an enthusiastic happy customer. Just go US Mobile.

I used to pay $120 for Magenta 2lines, plus had free Netflix. So 2 lines and Netflix for $120 was great imo. Even scored 2 free lines over the years and was still $120 for some time.
-Then they tacked on some Netflix cost increases (fair)
-Then they halved the Netflix benefit resulting in offsetting $7.99 ad-free Netflix only when that plan was introduced, lowering our benefit quite a bit.
-Then they dropped Credit Card payments (saving them a rumored 2%, costing us CC points)
-Then recently bumped costs by $5 per 'line' EVEN IF A FREE LINE increasing my bill by $20mo overnight, $240 a year, regardless of usage patterns. I had 2 free lines (4 total).
-Finally, legacy plans simply got cut out of phone upgrade paths in order to get you to move forward to the new and worse plans where they could add new costs (taxes/fees no longer included...).
I am not a heavy internet user. GPS, text, light data, music streaming and I'm good. I'm usually always near wifi anyway. I'm an ideal candidate for MVNO carriers I'd say. Decided to jump and score a new phone in the process (something TMobile was never going to offer 20yr customers even). Been with Mint about 2 weeks now and I've zero complaints. I see the lower speeds (speed testing) but... do I 'notice' it? No. My practical usage doesn't need 1080 video over cellular, or heavy data at all. I need coverage, where I had coverage before (hence Mint, in my case)
My new math is...
$75mo for 2 lines with Mint + Premium Netflix separately (if prices hold/yearlong commitments continue)
$138mo for 2 lines + Premium Netflix upgrade with TMobile (if I had cancelled my 2 FREE lines)
That's $60+mo in savings, not factoring in the free $800 phone, which will last me 3years, easily (my normal upgrade timeline)
I know TMobile's coverage well, so Mint made sense for me. I've 'felt' zero difference so far between the services, as I use them. The process to jump over to Mint couldn't have been easier. Their welcome kit was great.
If you're a light and maybe even moderate usage user, who can probably accept random bouts of semi-slowness, MVNO's may be a great way to save a good chunk of money, on top of the $800average for a current tier phone. I was skeptical, but so far, notice no real difference.
If it were a Flip 5/6, I would have jumped on it!
I do not need that much data - currently I pay $288 with taxes for 24months.
