If you don't have Mint Mobile yet and looking for a pre-paid carrier, go with US Mobile. Going to sound super shilly here, but I seriously don't understand why people aren't using US Mobile in the MVNO space. I was with Mint for about 3 years after coming off of T-mobile for a few and Verizon for almost 13 years.

Of all the services Mint Mobile had the worst bandwidth by far. I don't know all the intricacies of MVNO data tiering, but Mint Mobile has to be pretty low. I'd do side by side comparisons with T-mobile and Mint (who uses T-Mobile network), and the difference was astronomical. We're talking upwards of 80-90% slower, esp. during peak hours.
I only bothered testing in the first place to confirm my suspicions that Mint Mobile throttled because I'd literally have trouble loading websites when I was out and about.
That brings us to US Mobile. They use both Verizon and AT&T, you choose. Obviously I went w/ verizon because.. well Verizon. US Mobile has done some voodoo magic by actually securing priority data, so easily 10 times faster than Mint in almost every scenario.
You can even interchangeably switch between the two networks. Here's the zinger... alot of carriers say you can do this and that, but US Mobile web and mobile app actually make it EASY to do. Practically everything is self serve in a very clear, and easy to use interface.
If you ever have to chat support, I've never waited longer than 30 seconds to connect, and have always had someone who was polite and solved whatever issue I was having.
So 1. Fastest MVNO 2. Most flexible MVNO 3. Most featureset of any MVNO 4. best App and self-service of any MVNO 5. best customer service of any MVNO... It's also actually the same price if not cheaper than most reputable MVNO (on the annual plan).
I seriously am still trying to figure out what the deal is, for now I'm not complaining and just enjoying the solid service.
Sorry, Super Shilly I know. Swear to god I'm just an enthusiastic happy customer. Just go US Mobile.

I do not see a single deal of any kind for existing customers. I guess Mint is a place you go, get a deal, then leave to another carrier because once you're a customer, there are no more deals for you. Only new people. NOt a way to build customer loyalty. I'm a Mint customer, I got a deal 6 months ago. When my year is up I will leave Mint. Nothing else makes sense.

I can port out and port back in...but how long do I need to wait to get in on this deal? Anyone know their rules on this scenario?

The S25 they shipped to me had zero branding, logo's or Mint app's installed of any kind. I was curious about this too. It's an off the shelf S25, no different than buying an unlocked phone and using it with another carrier.
Does Visual Voicemail work out of the box with S25 on Mint? Or it needs separate app?

In the past, I got a new pixel in a new OEM box with a separate Mint welcome box. Seems like what you got.

Maybe it's relevant to some, but Spectrum Mobile, which you can get if you have Spectrum Internet, offers free one year of unlimited service pretty widely. Look into it. Easy esim port, and it's solid service. Runs in Verizon networkThe yearly Samsung galaxy deals are also a major draw. Basically free phones with a crappy trade in. Right now Galaxy Fold and Flip promos are ongoing. See threads for those My year is almost up, and I'm looking for optionsI barely use data so something like Tello makes sense as one to go back to. People have reported porting out from Spectrum and seeing the one year offer again, so here's to that, fingers crossed

Basically if you buy the phone the service comes with it
Or vice-versa. But yeah. $30/mo either way (for the S25)

I have Verizon and live in the suburbs. I would murder a baby seal for 30 down 2 up. I can't even make phone calls in the 5 block radius of the house. Time to switch to mint. That said, mint might not work at all and would like to test (but can't)
Go to best buy and buy the cheapest mint sim to test the signal around your home.

Does S24 comes unlocked ? can it be used with any other carrier and Mint plan be used with any other phone. I am taking of getting this deal to get phone for myself to use with xfinity and then use 2 year of sevice for my daughter and she already have a unlocked phone.. can this 2 year sevice used with a different device by just popping up sim in a different device ? Any pointer will be helpful

This is tempting. I was with Mint for four years before switching to US Mobile and while US Mobile has been better for the past seven months, the price difference is huge if I grab this deal. The new phone also seems good, but I've never had a Samsung before.
Tmobile itself has issues. The home internet is so oversold that latency is pretty crappy. I live in on of the top 4 markets in the US and they are severely dropping the ball. I would rather skip getting free plastic garbage and "deals" on Tuesday for a slightly better service. I have home and mobile internet and it gets worse and worse. Sad. So sad.

My understanding is the phone must be activated on a Mint plan for 60 days then it unlocks. So after 60 you could do so.

I signed up for a similar deal not too long ago, phone and a year plan for new customers. I had a 3 month promotional deal with them that had just expired a week previous so I thought I'd be a new customer. Ordered the deal, got the phone, tried to set up the phone with the years worth of service and it wouldn't go through. Called Mint and they said because my number was in their system I wasn't a new customer and denied the years service, then they took $57 out of my bank account for what, I don't know. All attempts with customer service were met with NO. I had to input my number before I signed up for the deal so they knew I was in their system, they could have stopped the order. Don't fall for Ryan Reynolds song and dance about Mint, they are not nice people and they only want your money!
