Works fine, but low is pretty hot. I've used a friend's black stone and it seems like low gets low where you can keep things warm, whereas the charbroil will keep cooking. Blackstone seems to be more evenly heated as well. Definitely hot zones on the charbroil.
If you single or maybe just a couple or small family, it's a good starter to see if you'll enjoy cooking on it. But as a family of 5, I plan on upgrading to a 36" black stone eventually.
Flattop cooking in general is great. Cooking your entire meal on 1 surface, cleaning and maintenance is simple and easy if you're used to cooking in cast iron or carbon steel.
