I have this saw or one if its close relatives, and something about having the handle on the left makes this saw horrible to control for me. The blade is continually binding.
I don't have that problem with my older DeWalt which has the handle on the right, nor the worm drive (nor any other saw)
I'm sure that's not universal - but I hate this saw, and wish I had figured out the issue and returned it.
I'm blaming myself and not the saw.. it seems to be a very nice tool, but it's ergonomics just don't work for me.

I have the 6 1/2 brushless and it's becoming my favorite saw. It will snip 2x4's and rip plywood using one of the teeny 1.7ah power packs. This makes for an absurdly small package that hits way above it's weight. It obviously munches the batteries quick, but I got three of em.
This saw suspiciously never goes on sale. Seems to be you can scoop the older 60v for a deal nowadays, but I'm not interested in the 60v line at the moment. I may buy it, but I just don't need it.

Whoa it's blade right? The 6 1/2 is blade left... Wtf I had to go look at mine and then look at this and compare. I suck with a saw no matter where the blade is, but that's wild. I wanna try the flex "in line" but I have no inclination to get into their stuff ATM.

Lol, I have an older 7 1/4" 20v Dewalt with right side blade. I'm fine with it, but every single person that borrows it for one cut complains the rest of the day about how my saw is backwards. I like that the majority of the dust and debris flies out of the saw on the opposite side from where in standing, but I'm also just used to it. If you're used to the saw being blade on the left, this will take some learning curve.

I think I'd prefer the blade on the right if the ergonomics didn't throw me off for whatever reason. I read a comment elsewhere about someone getting one with the frame slightly bent. For all I know I got one that is slightly tweaked somehow.

No, not the blade. I've tried new blades. It's pretty tragic. The saw is way nicer than my 6 1/2; other than that it doesn't cut well for me. I assume I could practice with it and figure out wth is going on. But I'm only grabbing a saw when I'm busy doing something.

What am I missing? This is an 8 year old saw, and doesn't seem like a real discount? The 573/574/590 are old, but newer. Not on sale now but can be had on sale.
