I don't have that problem with my older DeWalt which has the handle on the right, nor the worm drive (nor any other saw)
I'm sure that's not universal - but I hate this saw, and wish I had figured out the issue and returned it.
I'm blaming myself and not the saw.. it seems to be a very nice tool, but it's ergonomics just don't work for me.
This saw suspiciously never goes on sale. Seems to be you can scoop the older 60v for a deal nowadays, but I'm not interested in the 60v line at the moment. I may buy it, but I just don't need it.

Whoa it's blade right? The 6 1/2 is blade left... Wtf I had to go look at mine and then look at this and compare. I suck with a saw no matter where the blade is, but that's wild. I wanna try the flex "in line" but I have no inclination to get into their stuff ATM.

Lol, I have an older 7 1/4" 20v Dewalt with right side blade. I'm fine with it, but every single person that borrows it for one cut complains the rest of the day about how my saw is backwards. I like that the majority of the dust and debris flies out of the saw on the opposite side from where in standing, but I'm also just used to it. If you're used to the saw being blade on the left, this will take some learning curve.
