These are great for handling slimy ass northerns. at this price you can just throw them away at the end of your fishing trip and not have to deal with bringing them home to wash.

I don't know about the fishing specific part, but these gloves have a thicker rubber coating then the cheap ones and the coating actually feels more rubbery and flexible.
