https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/panasonic/w95a Panasonic W95A Review (TV-55W95AP, TV-65W95AP, TV-75W95AP, TV-85W95AP) - RTINGS.com

The Panasonic W95 is a good TV overall. Unfortunately, it's really held back by the fact that you can't use local dimming and VRR simultaneously, so you have to choose between the best possible image quality or a tear-free gaming experience while using its True Game picture mode. This is unusual, and you can get similar and even better Mini LED TVs like the Hisense U8/U8N, the TCL QM8/QM851G QLED, and the Sony BRAVIA 7 QLED that don't make you decide between those two options.
Panasonic re-entered the market after a hiatus in North America and they their TVs are good quality, but the damage they did to their brand hurt their sales and they are deep discounting their current line. Hopefully they try harder on the next batch of TVs because in my opinion they rival Sony for picture quality.

QLED or Mini-LED?
Its both.
QLED = Quantum dots, which this TV has.
Mini-LED = backlit array with very small LEDs, meaning more local dimming zones.

so theoretical, if I didn't play games on this, it should be a great value?

Well no, the brand's reputation is mostly fine, but the RECOGNITION from America Consumers is damaged, and brand recognition if you will is what is damaged, so my point remains the same.

Well, I'm not debating your point. I'm just pointing out that damage and recognition are not the same thing.
You are a perfect example of that.

Clearly as you can see people already recognize/know Panasonic brand, even determined whether damaged(bad) or not.
Me and you determined this before them coming back to the US, we are not the only ones!

Anyways your point is your prerogative, no debating that.

soundbar?

lol.

get an AVR and with real speakers.
why lol? It's a perfect on-board tv speaker replacement and I have no desire to get into a full AV setup in the room we're working with.

We all really need to get real here.... This W95 TV is a direct competitor to the Sony Bravia 7 (the Bravia 7 SLIGHTLY beats the W95 in almost every category)
When this W95 65" came out it was priced around $1700
The 65" Bravia 7 is right now about $1700.00 (but as low as $1200)
This W95 65" TV priced @ $500 is probably going to be the BEST deal on a QUALITY TV this YEAR !!
Now Throw in 1-year Costco Warranty, then add the Allstate 3-year warranty is just icing on the cake !
OH, and if you buy more Costco Direct items.... It will reduce the price even more!
The one Negative I keep hearing (other than it is a FireTV) is that it is not that great for gaming. I am not a gamer..... But I have watched just about every review on this TV, and It isn't that you can't game on this TV..... There are just better choices out there if that is going to be the main use of the TV.
But Again this TV is $500 with a 5-Year warranty, There isn't anything on the market that can compete with this 65" Panny W95 at this price point.
Sure there are things I wish this W95 TV did not or did have..... But I could get my "wish" if I wanted to spend HUNDREDS or Double what this TV is going for now.
The other thing is I have not read of really any failure rates on this TV..... So that is a positive.

This appears to be a 2024 model as the new 2025 model is coming out soon. Reading from some review sites, the 2025 model has some improvement. Not sure how much it will be. Nonetheless, this is a good price and very tempting.

Walmart sells the same TV for 597. So it is not really $1800.

I bought this a few weeks ago and love it. The UI is smooth, but the settings take some time to get familiar with. I use it with a Roku ultra and connected to denon receiver running all Klipsch RP speakers. However, the built-in sound is very good as well.

I get the replacement for tv speakers.
What I don't get is why pay so much especially just because it says "Atmos"!

You do understand they actually don't give you a true representation of Atmos?
Especially since they are mainly designed for streaming content, thats a significant drop in sound quality!
Then you pay extra for an indefinite rental!

Based on past hands on experience, Panasonic TVs come with very robust power supplies and heatsinks for cooling. I believe this is still valid today. Panasonic capacitors, for example are highly respected in the business. Their TVs are usually 2-3 lbs heavier than their competitors.

But I will never buy a Panasonic TV today because it comes with the Fire OS. Amazon's goal is to eliminate all competitors...drug stores, supermarkets, home improvements, etc....

How would I Google Cast/Chromecast something to this TV (video players online, browser tabs, etc)? Would I need a separate streaming device? It looks like it supports Airplay natively.
