Not according to lab tests conducted by Runrepeat. The allegedly PEBA based Dreamstrike+ midsole of the Rise has no more energy return than the worst EVA shoe models. The forefoot stack height is a mere 22mm and 4mm of that is the insole and another 2mm is the rubber. I suspect that Adidas is using a substandard PEBA that may be blended with EVA like the 80/20 EVa/PEBA foam concoction in the New Balance Rebel V4. Runningwarehouse, which offers incentives to customers to review purchased products has zero reviews for either the Rise, Rise 2, or Prima. This indicates a lack of interest from serious runner, RW's primary customer base. Social media chatter on the Supernovae lineup is largely non-existent. Aside from the usual sponsored Shoe-tubers on YouTube and review websites that have various conflict of interests there's little commentary for these budget models. Within the Adidas brand Runners are best served by sticking with the Adizero line and people looking for ath-leisure options will gravitate towards the Ultraboost line which have better build quality and aesthetics.
Can you recommend some wide daily trainers?

These are essentially casual shoes like the Nike Pegasus. The stack height is too low to do daily training miles and it's too heavy and sluggish for tempo runs. As a casual shoe the better looking colorways are $60 with the code.
I don't really like high stack runners nor do I jog at a fast pace so these were perfect for me. Super comfortable and fit me way better than the Pegasus.

My feet are on the narrow low volume side of the spectrum. I don't have much insight on shoes for wide feet.

Also, you can get extra 20% off when you buy the adidas gift card from Best Buy for 20% off. Just a caveat, there is limit of one per customer, so make sure you get the higher value gift card if you need to spend more on adidas sale.

Casual shoes don't have rods in them. These are actual running shoes.

I'll agree with you that this shoe is better than the prototypical ath-leisure shoe (e.g. Nike Pegasus, Saucony Ride, and HOKA Mach). But it's budget price point model and just like those other three shoes there's compromises.

The Rise 1/2 do not have ceramic rods. In marketing materials Adidas used the term "Support Rods" to describe a guidance feature in the Rise. There are no actual rods. Instead there's a firm EVA underlayment that is molded into strips that run under the midsole to provide some additional stability. Stability, not propulsion. Adidas eschewed the Continental rubber they reserve for the Adizero line and their Ultraboosts in favor of a generic rubber that has less grip and durability.

As a dog walking or grocery shopping shoe the Rise would fit the bill for me. This price was also quite slick. However, the colors that were on sale were not visually appealing. If the Cloud White or Core Black SKUs go on sale at this price I might buy a pair for casual use.

For running there's better shoes and better deals that come along over the course of a year. For example, in January or February Adidas discounted the Adios Pro 3 from $250 to $88. The maximalist Prime X 2 Strung was marked down, depending on the colorway, to $120 and $105 from its $300 MSRP. The performance to price ratio is significantly higher with those models compared to the Rise or Prima. That is, if one is looking for a shoe to run in.

I got one earlier size 8 (my standard size). I should have ordered 8.5 or even 9. I ended up removing the inner piece to make space.
