5070 Ti for 1900???
Is that all you saw in this post? Or did you deliberately ignore the 275HX processor, the OLED display, 32GB RAM, and the better build quality while also being lighter than most of its competitors?
The OMEN MAX from earlier was $1750 for similar specs, while having a weaker Core Ultra 7 processor. If you configured it with 275HX, the price would've been more than this Acer. The Predator Helios from a few weeks ago, with the same specs but an IPS display, was $1799 at MC, and that was a FP deal too. The Legion Pro 7, with a few better specs, is $2200 right now.
So, yes, 5070 Ti for $1900, and currently, for the given specs, this is a good enough price.

Obligatory ignorant slickdeal dad looking for a gaing laptop - uh, will run the 5070ti run more efficiently, specifically run cooler and quieter than a previous generation 4070? I assume its about as powerful enough for full 1080p and maybe a few titles in QHD?

I have a feeling this is gonna sell out soon once people wake up and find out it's released. Been looking for a 16 inch upgrade. In for 1! Thanks OP!

I run the helio 14 with 4070 and it's great. I paid $870 after cash back for that laptop with Ultra 7 and 1600p screen. I run everything in 1600p like Warhammer 3 on mostly ultra.

This 5070ti is about 20% faster on higher res currently and like 25% faster on lower; even with the extra bandwidth and 4 gb ram. It's a bit disappointing but paper says it should be about 35% eventually. So I'm sure it would be great higher resolutions like my 4070 mobile. Just not sure about the $1000 premium.

Having said that, the OLED screen, ram and better proc is probably worth at least $600 of that

This is a great buy. I would be on it if I didn't score on my Helios Neo 14 and the compact size I needed.

It can run QHD on most games, it's a definite improvement over the RTX 4070(the 12GB VRAM helps), but still not as fast as the RTX 4080. It is more power efficient.

I have the 2024 g14 with the rtx 4060. Selling that for 1100 plus I had a $150 Best Buy gift card so that paid for the taxes atleast. I was the same man. Wanted portability but now that I had it. I want a bigger OLED screen with more power haha.

Had one for in-store pickup but got cold feet, cancelled. Gonna wait for some reviews and see how total package delivers with 115W GPU.

I was waiting for this to come into stock, but I pulled the trigger on the Lenovo Legion 5i Pro yesterday. Not much difference in the two models: same processor, same GPU, and same hard drive size. Differences: 165hz (Neo) vs 240hz (Legion), 32gb ram (Neo) vs 16gb (Legion, but upgrading it to 96gb), 5lbs (Neo) vs 5.7lbs (Legion). I was able to pick the Legion up for $2,086.00 (before tax) with a Lenovo 4-year accidental warranty after discounts. I think I made the right call...

It says 140 TGP on the BB description. Maybe it's 115 + 25 boost?

How would this compare to a Predator Helios 18 with a 4090 card in it? Just curious. I love the 18" screen I have, but the GPU is pretty throttled in it.

Correct. 115 + 25 boost. Boost doesn't come into play all that often, but it's there when needed.
