To reduce installation of games and other unwanted apps:
Set up without going on WiFi or inserting SIM card. Click on Skip for WiFi and Set up offline for the SIM card. Then Continue to set up offline.
Go to the App manager, click to view system apps. Then disable App cloud, Mobile Applicatons Manager.
After that you can enable WiFi, isert SIM card, activate.

A few people were shipped Boost provisioned Edges though, even though they ordered PG phones. Most employees don't even know what Dish/PG is, but I'm sure these are their stockpile of PG phones that didn't sell over the past 2+ years.

Even though the plan is good ($25 a month) No one was paying $400 for this phone on a gimped 5G network that had data speeds slower than 4G LTE and was only useable if you could force the phone to roam on AT&T.
