10/3/2025.
Reports are that boost may may changed their T & C.
(Around 10/1/2025 . maybe, not clear)
Requiring activating phone and using service for some time.
(3 months?).
Do your research.
However, may not matter much as phone appears to be gone for good from boost website.

You must activate the phone on boost network within 30 days of purchase.
If not you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
best practice=open the phone. activate the boost account. make a call or 2. send a text or 2
phone call &/or text just insures the phone number has been fully registered on the boost network
while not entirely necessary, just to be safe.
and not get a $600 bill or get sent to collections
[ which has happened to at least one user on this thread ]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
make sure u activate.
By checking this box I agree to e-transaction/e-signature, Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions. Once activated I authorize Boost Mobile to automatically charge my card monthly for my Boost Mobile services, taxes and surcharges. My service will not begin until my SIM is activated. If you do not activate your Device(s) on the Boost Mobile network within 30 days of purchase, you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s) (less your purchase price), if applicable, to the card used today or any alternative method. . I also agree to receive communications regarding this order via email, SMS, or phone call using the contact information provided

Buying multiple phones?
Consider this.
The first phone will be 120.
Subsequent phones (either purchased at same time on withing next few days) will be less.
Boost has a weird way of billing and its often confusion. No one has figured it out yet.
Many have made speculations:
For example. Below is from a user.
My first purchase cost me $125.90 in total then subsequently thereafter I purchased 2x more phones which came out to $94.84 each.
Since you bought the first phone at regular price, Boost treats any further purchases as an additional line since they're on the same account.
However, bear in mind Boost will automatically enable autopay again so be sure to disable it prior to your next billing cycle recurring.

I left the Free Straight Talk Moto Power 2024 deal in the box since June 2024 after it unlocked last year and it still had 35% charge after 12 months.
You just have to name the folder to match the dish version that it was going to try to install.
I let it download the DISH firmware then bail. I moved it out of Romfiles folder (you could probably delete it after copying the directory name).
I then put the unzipped lolinet android 15 version in Romfiles and renamed directory to the name of the DISH android 14 directory. Rescue will then let you proceed.
I'm on A15 now, bootloader untouched.
Disclaimer - I take no responsibility if you use my notes and brick your device.

someone with knowledge should post a guide for dummies.
listing pros & cons of updating
in wiki perhaps.

Download/install Smart Assitant.
Download/extract lolinet RETUS A15.
Run Smart Assitant, select Rescue
It'll want to identify your device. Follow instructions to do so.
It'll find boost model and recommend a firmware to rescue. Let it download and extract it.
Abort the rescue.
My PC location was ProgramData/RSA/Download/Romfiles. The extracted dish rom folder is in there. You're after the folder name only.
Put the lolinet A15 extracted folder in same Romfiles directory and rename it to the dish rom folder (You'll have to move the dish folder elsewhere or rename it to avoid dupe folder names).
Now that the A15 lolinet folder is same name as the Dish A14 folder, return to Smart Assistant and repeat rescue.
This time it won't try to download since the folder already exists. Proceed with rescue.
I let it wipe data since I don't have anything I cared about on it.
It's probably doing standard adb commands really and doesn't care what you're flashing.
I'm still carrier unlocked. Phone connected to 5G boost just fine during A15 setup. Yes I'm still on DISH software channel.

not sure what to do with my n20 and n30 i ever much used. theyre still new condition. i hate that feeling like "i gotta do something with these before they get too old" lol. they probably wouldnt get more than 50-75 on fb which isnt worth the hassle of meeting someone. i guess i'll just keep them as potential niece backup or backups for myself (but my daily driver would have to combust to need one). or they could be gaming phones but i never do that.
this moto will go to my niece for bday since its much nicer.
i already grok what desu's doing and will probably try that myself. if i can get another backup or two for 70 i will.
Anybody know how to get it working on visible as thats my plan? I dont know if it will pass visible's IMEI checker (since I dont have the phone yet). But that shouldn't matter TBH. Would just any visible android phones sim work? It seems like it works like you input phone model>get sim. Which wont work if it's not on the model list.
So it doesnt matter if i unlock before or after activating the Boost Sim? Do I even need too activate the Boost Sim if I plan on going straight to visible?
Edit: This supports esim? that would be better no? Edit2 seems maybe boost mobile disables the esim or...something,
