10/3/2025.
Reports are that boost may may changed their T & C.
(Around 10/1/2025 . maybe, not clear)
Requiring activating phone and using service for some time.
(3 months?).
Do your research.
However, may not matter much as phone appears to be gone for good from boost website.

You must activate the phone on boost network within 30 days of purchase.
If not you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
best practice=open the phone. activate the boost account. make a call or 2. send a text or 2
phone call &/or text just insures the phone number has been fully registered on the boost network
while not entirely necessary, just to be safe.
and not get a $600 bill or get sent to collections
[ which has happened to at least one user on this thread ]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
make sure u activate.
By checking this box I agree to e-transaction/e-signature, Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions. Once activated I authorize Boost Mobile to automatically charge my card monthly for my Boost Mobile services, taxes and surcharges. My service will not begin until my SIM is activated. If you do not activate your Device(s) on the Boost Mobile network within 30 days of purchase, you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s) (less your purchase price), if applicable, to the card used today or any alternative method. . I also agree to receive communications regarding this order via email, SMS, or phone call using the contact information provided

Buying multiple phones?
Consider this.
The first phone will be 120.
Subsequent phones (either purchased at same time on withing next few days) will be less.
Boost has a weird way of billing and its often confusion. No one has figured it out yet.
Many have made speculations:
For example. Below is from a user.
My first purchase cost me $125.90 in total then subsequently thereafter I purchased 2x more phones which came out to $94.84 each.
Since you bought the first phone at regular price, Boost treats any further purchases as an additional line since they're on the same account.
However, bear in mind Boost will automatically enable autopay again so be sure to disable it prior to your next billing cycle recurring.

But yes, I think you are right about eventually having to pay $60 for another month of service to activate the phone. So I would be paying an extra $2 on top of what everyone else is paying for a single phone. If I decide to buy, maybe I'll just create a new boost account with a different email address to keep things simple.
Also recommend requesting the bootloader unlock code before ever registering a google account on the phone, the reason being the moto site mentions using the same google account tied to the phone to make the request, without ever having signed into an account I've been able to receive the codes by creating motorola accounts with throwaway instant emails.
I will try that method.
Powered on the Moto Edge+ and completed the initial setup, including logging into Google. Then I inserted the SIM card.
Opened an email from Boost Mobile and clicked "Activate your service," then followed the instructions.
The IMEI number was already preloaded, so I only needed to enter the SIM card number to activate the service.(I got a new number, not port-in)
I had to reboot the device several times to ensure that calling, texting, and data were working correctly. It took some hours.

Bought on 7/31, arrived 8/2, activated 8/3, unlocked 8/6. I'll use Boost's data for a month since I paid for it, may port the number at the end of said month for another phone deal, and make this phone my new backup.
One of the better slickdeals I've seen in a while, $134 OTD for an 8 Gen 2 phone with 512GB storage and a screen the size of an S23+.
Solid.
