Boost Mobile [boostmobile.com] has 512GB Motorola edge+ 2023 Smartphone (Boost Mobile Locked, Black) on sale for $59.99 + $60 1-Month Unlimited Talk/Text/Data Service = $119.99. Shipping is free.

This phone is now back in stock at Boost. It's a steal at this price still has better specs than most phones out there especially with 512gb of storage. I bought one on last years deal and was able to unlock it via one of the unlockers who were kicked off of eBay. Many didn't have the unlock codes yet back then but would assume their available now. YMMV. I currently use mine with Instabridge esim for 5gb of free data a month. Just bought another for my wife.

Note, on product page select "I don't want protection" or Boost Protect will be added to cart at $12/month.

Specs (source [motorola.com]):
Processor: Qualcomm SM8550-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm)
Display: 6.7" 1080x2400 165Hz pOLED
RAM: 8GB LPDDR5X
Storage: 512GB
Operating system: Android 13
Battery: 5100mah
Cameras:
Rear Camera Hardware - 50MP, 1/1.5" optical format, f/1.8 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 2.0µm, Omni-directional PDAF, Optical Image Stabilization, 50MP Ultrawide angle (114° FOV), Macro Vision, f/2.2 aperture, 0.64µm pixel size | Quad Pixel, Technology for 1.28µm, 12MP Portrait (2x telephoto), f/1.6 aperture, 1.22µm pixel size, Ambient Light Sensor
Front Camera Hardware - 60MP, f/2.2 aperture, 0.61µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 1.22µm

Hmmm I wonder if I get a second one, should I go through a cashback site. I don't know if it will even apply on an existing boost account. I didn't get on my first purchase, I just wanted to grab one before they went out of stock. Could someone hint what cashback site they are using? Haven't used one in quite a while.

Mine came with Rainbow Dish sim also native network tower 313 340 on Cellmapper if zip code when ordering doesn't have dish towers they will send other provider.
The network was down for maintenance for a week and it changed to AT&T

"manufactured 6/2024" "but was able to UL it.
using the website provided earlier" -desi_babu_2010

Good to know it can be unlocked even if it's after the Aug 2023 manufacture date

Hmmm interesting. I couldn't for the life of me find a dish native tower in my area code on cell mapper, but maybe I just missed it. It does seem like interesting tech if it's up time is decent. Really the only reason I'd consider going with the boost $25 plan (but then not sure I'd get a rainbow with a new sim)

When did yours crash, curious to know if it was a while back (growing pains as they are building out the network) or if this is recent. Thanks Jaggsta

Have scroll out on cellmapper then find your area on the map and click top left for drop menu Provider>Network>5G NR

I got the phone, activated and unlocked (thanks for the information here), but this phone does not allow dual sim. Does anyone know how to fix that? Do I need to flash to other carrier firmware to be able to see dual sim functions?

Any steps would be appreciated.

thanks

]"i enter it, comes back imei not valid or something. stone wall." shark974

Appologizies if this has already been answeered (I'm trying to speed read through these 40+ pages chronologically, before deciding on getting a 2nd one).

You can ask for the imei 2 to be added to the carriers database (mobile x did this for me, but I haven't had a chance to test it, tello is in the process) or you can use a donor esim. I used my samsung galaxy watch 7's imei, got a qr code, scanned it with the moto and it went through the process as normal. Dialer, and text app show the 2nd sim options, shows up normally under network, etc.

Haven't done extensive testing, but everything seems to be working fine. Long term there may be issues, but I plan on switching over to the actual imei 2 and getting my donor esim back on the watch with tello.

"but this phone does not allow dual sim" Rickpocket

It's hidden in the menu, but there is a dialer code to get the imei 2 value. The esim doesn't appear to be in the carrier's databases I have checked but you can use a donor sim to get a QR code or ask your carrier to add it to their database (took mobile X like 3ish days, maybe it was longer).

Once you have the QR code scan it and setup is normal for esim.

edit: dialer code; *#06#

Newest orders have 3/2025 manufacture dates. I got 4 with 6/26/2024 at end of July with battery drained. They package them at 50% battery so 13% drain in 5 months mine should of had 10% battery or so left.https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=178463212&postcount=553
Heard of any issues with unlocking the 3/2025 stock or are we still good?

OP had 3/2025 and unlock code worked fine. But i believe they are delaying android 15 update to remove code unlocking and replacing it with remote unlock. So unlock phone before updating firmware.

Thanks for the quick reply Jaggsta, looks like I'm buying another one 👍
