Boost Mobile [boostmobile.com] has 512GB Motorola edge+ 2023 Smartphone (Boost Mobile Locked, Black) on sale for $59.99 + $60 1-Month Unlimited Talk/Text/Data Service = $119.99. Shipping is free.

This phone is now back in stock at Boost. It's a steal at this price still has better specs than most phones out there especially with 512gb of storage. I bought one on last years deal and was able to unlock it via one of the unlockers who were kicked off of eBay. Many didn't have the unlock codes yet back then but would assume their available now. YMMV. I currently use mine with Instabridge esim for 5gb of free data a month. Just bought another for my wife.

Note, on product page select "I don't want protection" or Boost Protect will be added to cart at $12/month.

Specs (source [motorola.com]):
Processor: Qualcomm SM8550-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm)
Display: 6.7" 1080x2400 165Hz pOLED
RAM: 8GB LPDDR5X
Storage: 512GB
Operating system: Android 13
Battery: 5100mah
Cameras:
Rear Camera Hardware - 50MP, 1/1.5" optical format, f/1.8 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 2.0µm, Omni-directional PDAF, Optical Image Stabilization, 50MP Ultrawide angle (114° FOV), Macro Vision, f/2.2 aperture, 0.64µm pixel size | Quad Pixel, Technology for 1.28µm, 12MP Portrait (2x telephoto), f/1.6 aperture, 1.22µm pixel size, Ambient Light Sensor
Front Camera Hardware - 60MP, f/2.2 aperture, 0.61µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 1.22µm

Anyone has/had issues in checking out the order? I have been trying from last night with multiple cards and the CC transaction goes through as CC asks me for OTP but the website ends up with an error "Something wrong" every time. Could not complete order. I tried Incognito mode as well and no luck.

I got an order in by 3pm EST and it's out for delivery now. It's far from my first order. It's either a website error or your device, IP, card, etc.

Thanks. Its weird. After all the tries in multiple browsers, I changed my email and it worked right away. Something blocked the email i used before looks like it.

Just received it and checked my payment history on boost mobile; these are the charges I am seeing:
  • 08/27/2025
  • Monthly Recurring Charge
  • Completed
  • Amount: $127.78
  • Balance: $60.73
  • 08/22/2025
  • Payment
  • Completed
  • Amount: $124.62
  • Balance: $124.62

I have turned off auto-pay; any way to get the new charges refunded?
For what it's worth, I see the "monthly recurring charge" on my Boost payment history too, but that charge does not show on my transaction history for that credit card. The only actual charge showing on my card is the total amount from when I purchased the phone. I have autopay off.

My 1st one due date is 9/9. Is it good to buy two more on same account and activate before that and remove card before that?
Removed payment method but somehow when trying to enable autopay for testing ,it still shows payment card. Hope they don't charge back
Yes, not sure if you can remove the card afterwards because it asks to have at least one card. I used a 1-time use burner card via privacy cc. It will bill you the prorated so I only paid like $80 instead of $130ish; however, after it ships, it turns on autopay automatically and after you activate it will try to bill you the $60 or $40 plan again. So after it ships, check the account and disable autopay before you get your phone or before you activate it. because it says I owe $129 even though my account balance is -$25 or something.
How much you paid actually...because when you order it shows 130. so they charge same amount right? How did you pay less

1st phone paid $126.56 on 7/29. 2nd phone ordered 8/25 paid $80.57 (60phone + prorated) otherwise it would've been 60phone+40plan for the 2nd phone.

My 1st month resets 9/4

Do I get charged full device price after a month by not staying with boost? My plan is to follow what everybody did, cancel auto renew and unlock it after a month with boost
You would only get charged full price if you don't activate the device within 30 days. I'm still not sure how that makes sense since there is still no commitment other than assigning a phone number.
Thanks a lot!! I was going to send you a private message with that question but 360min restriction time didnt allow. Do you guys recommend any shipping service from US to abroad? I'm sending this phone to New Zealand
I just got over that restriction! lol. I'll PM you my email just in case.
Thanks for the code, it worked!

I called and was told that it's a technical error.

Did they fix it or will it resolve itself?

Just had 2 brief calls with Boost Mobile.
  1. Iphone 16e $50- in store and iphone 15 $100- in store deals require 1 year of service before unlocking and also require $60- per month plan (720/yr) thus making them non deals. Perhaps you could get away with 1 month at 60- and then other months at maybe 25/month, but there are other less expensive plans out there for light use. So, 10- or 15- x 12 = 120 or 180, or extra 720-180 = 600- or 540- for either phone. Again, non deals.
  2. I asked for a QR code to unlock one of the new MEP 23s that arrived this week. When I turned the other phone on, it offered both dual SIM or maybe SIM plus eSIM or eSIM. The SIM card tray included is only for one SIM card and I don't know if the SIM card bay is large enough for 2. When I found the eSIM button, I think via settings, I let it turn the camera on to scan a QR code - which I did not have. However, wifi was off or not connected and no SIM card was in phone. Even after adding SIM card that shipped in a separate envelope, but had not been activated via the website, eSIM was still offered. But after Boost activation and turning phone off and on a few times for activation, neither dual nor e SIM use was offered in settings. The phone rep would not acknowledge any possible dual sim/esim function. She did note that while the MEP 23 did have an eSIM hardware ability that a Boost QR code would not work, for unknown reasons, and would only offer to send me another physical SIM card if needed. We spent a few minutes going nowhere on this.
For those that unlocked already and switched to another service provider, did eSIM work, or must the phone be rooted to another OS? Does this phone actually allow dual SIM if you had the correct tray? Will the MEP 23 hardware allow SIM plus eSIM in a dual mode? Has anyone tested this out?

Dual SIM can mean 2 pSims or pSim + eSim. In the case of the Edge+ it's dual meaning p+esim. 1 of my orders was shipped without a physical SIM and meant to activate using eSim going by Boosts activation flow on the website. I only needed to power the phone on to unlock so I never activated it using eSim and I did activate "it" using a pSim cause it wasn't my intentions on using the phone.
You shouldn't have any issues activating using eSim online or by phone as long as you have your IMEI added and get a QR code. Now the software does stop you from seeing an eSim setting. You will need to flash different firmware for that situation.

ESIM appears if setup offline on Android 14 under network>sim preferences it will show ESIM then connect to wifi to scan QR code to transfer from another phone after that it disappears. After updating to Android 15 has no option now even after factory reset.

Boost doesn't let you ESIM on older Motorola phones for some reason.

I tested Free Roamless and Free Instabridge Apps ESIM automatically installs and works.
