10/3/2025.
Reports are that boost may may changed their T & C.
(Around 10/1/2025 . maybe, not clear)
Requiring activating phone and using service for some time.
(3 months?).
Do your research.
However, may not matter much as phone appears to be gone for good from boost website.

You must activate the phone on boost network within 30 days of purchase.
If not you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
best practice=open the phone. activate the boost account. make a call or 2. send a text or 2
phone call &/or text just insures the phone number has been fully registered on the boost network
while not entirely necessary, just to be safe.
and not get a $600 bill or get sent to collections
[ which has happened to at least one user on this thread ]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
make sure u activate.
By checking this box I agree to e-transaction/e-signature, Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions. Once activated I authorize Boost Mobile to automatically charge my card monthly for my Boost Mobile services, taxes and surcharges. My service will not begin until my SIM is activated. If you do not activate your Device(s) on the Boost Mobile network within 30 days of purchase, you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s) (less your purchase price), if applicable, to the card used today or any alternative method. . I also agree to receive communications regarding this order via email, SMS, or phone call using the contact information provided

Buying multiple phones?
Consider this.
The first phone will be 120.
Subsequent phones (either purchased at same time on withing next few days) will be less.
Boost has a weird way of billing and its often confusion. No one has figured it out yet.
Many have made speculations:
For example. Below is from a user.
My first purchase cost me $125.90 in total then subsequently thereafter I purchased 2x more phones which came out to $94.84 each.
Since you bought the first phone at regular price, Boost treats any further purchases as an additional line since they're on the same account.
However, bear in mind Boost will automatically enable autopay again so be sure to disable it prior to your next billing cycle recurring.

The one I gave to my niece she accidently locked herself out of. She claims she's inputting the correct pin but you know shes 11.
Anyway, I have not figured out a way to unlock yet. It's pretty impossible once locked out. Most instruction will tell simply turn off the phone then boot into recovery mode. this would work on most androids it seems. however this one requires the pin to turn off!
One more thing I want to try that i have not yet is run the battery all the way down, forcing a shutoff, then trying to boot into recovery. I dont have super high hopes though.
Another odd thing is it gives some message about unlock to unlock data usage on the unlock screen. that message apparently means it's in "before first unlock" or "BFU" mode. But that doesn't seems to make sense since she'd been using it a few days. However their is mention on google this could be caused by a flaky battery, causing sudden death of the battery/phone unexpectedly. and I remember talk of the batteries on these here, Overall, though, who knows. i havent been around the phone much but the battery seemed ok (but a bad battery could incorrectly read as charged)
I don't know the hardware reset button combination for this phone off the top of my head, but you will find it if you Google for it.
ie. if you order on the final day of your billing cycle and clearly won't be able to activate in time before the billing cycle ends. Will you still only get charged the prorated service at time of ordering, or will you get stuck having to pay for another billing month?

best is to be safe.
order 15 days into your cycle.
the 3-5 day difference will not make much difference when at this price point

yeah, that button combination does not work unless the phone is off, on this model at least. i tried it many times, it's volume down and power for 15 seconds. you cannot turn it (this model anyway, seems to work for most) off without the pin. and as long as it's on the reboot into recovery combination will not do anything.
luckily they were able to get in. i assume by letting it run down to dead zero, which forces a shutoff. then charging and booting into recovery or something like that. i wasnt there but i'm pretty sure thats what happened. that was my plan.
MOST phones dont require the pin to shut off. which makes it much easier to recover, well not a lot easier i guess, you just have to know what to do and it's not readily apparent.
then started a whole nother ordeal of getting into her google account, and i ended up having to pay 66 to restart that boost number that i had let lapse (i switched her to visible), so she could get her google account 2fa code which for some reason was set to the lapsed boost # (i guess they do that automatically? or thinking, she probably did it before i switched her to visible after a few days), because of course she had forgot her google password too.so i'm now about 200 into the phone. still a pretty good deal. luckily it was not too late to restart the boost number (that sim is now in another phone) or we woulda been SOL i guess. as we would not have been able to receive the 2fa text, and thus she would not have been able to get back into her phone,
i can get another one from the now re-activated account, if i choose keep number it puts a 40 plan and 60 phone, 100 for another one. thinking about it. this is the cheapest way right? honestly not too interested in letting the plan run down to save a few bucks.
if i get the other for 100 i'll be about 300 for 2 phones. 150 each. a lot higher than i'd like but still sounds pretty good to me. barely lol.
