10/3/2025.
Reports are that boost may may changed their T & C.
(Around 10/1/2025 . maybe, not clear)
Requiring activating phone and using service for some time.
(3 months?).
Do your research.
However, may not matter much as phone appears to be gone for good from boost website.
________________________________________________________________
You must activate the phone on boost network within 30 days of purchase.
If not you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
best practice=open the phone. activate the boost account. make a call or 2. send a text or 2
phone call &/or text just insures the phone number has been fully registered on the boost network
while not entirely necessary, just to be safe.
and not get a $600 bill or get sent to collections
[ which has happened to at least one user on this thread ]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
make sure u activate.
By checking this box I agree to e-transaction/e-signature, Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions. Once activated I authorize Boost Mobile to automatically charge my card monthly for my Boost Mobile services, taxes and surcharges. My service will not begin until my SIM is activated. If you do not activate your Device(s) on the Boost Mobile network within 30 days of purchase, you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s) (less your purchase price), if applicable, to the card used today or any alternative method. . I also agree to receive communications regarding this order via email, SMS, or phone call using the contact information provided

Buying multiple phones?
Consider this.
The first phone will be 120.
Subsequent phones (either purchased at same time on withing next few days) will be less.
Boost has a weird way of billing and its often confusion. No one has figured it out yet.
Many have made speculations:
For example. Below is from a user.
My first purchase cost me $125.90 in total then subsequently thereafter I purchased 2x more phones which came out to $94.84 each.
Since you bought the first phone at regular price, Boost treats any further purchases as an additional line since they're on the same account.
However, bear in mind Boost will automatically enable autopay again so be sure to disable it prior to your next billing cycle recurring.

DEFINETLY slickdeal user error.
then searched to find one other case on reddit...who also 100% user errord it.
alo reddit guy admitted his error
And btw I went to the service center, they fixed it.
I certainly wouldn't go around getting my phone wet on purpose but I also wouldn't worry about it. 100% likely the phone can go forever without really getting wet if you're careful (I dont think my daily driver One Plus has) but you also dont need to be psychotic about it, it will be fine
your system settings still show channel as "dish network" though right?
I just removed the Boost apps using Canta.

Edit: I meant to say this phone will have 3 years of support left, but 6 years when new.

The G Stylus 2022 does NOT have an official IP68 rating, whereas the Edge 40 Pro/2023 Plus does.
Considering my LG V30 from 2017 is on Android 14 custom, official updates are insignificant to me. This phone will likely be too slowly or battery shot in 6 years regardless. It only has 8gb RAM.

It is called an IP rating. iPhones and Galaxies are NOT waterproof. Phones are water resistant. IP ratings are for FRESHWATER not chemical or saltwater. These are not the same things. Chemically treated water is not what IP67/68 are intended for, so using in that situation is YMMV.
There are reports of iPhones also malfunctioning in pools and unintended use cases.
