Boost Mobile [boostmobile.com] has 512GB Motorola edge+ 2023 Smartphone (Boost Mobile Locked, Black) on sale for $59.99 + $60 1-Month Unlimited Talk/Text/Data Service = $119.99. Shipping is free.

This phone is now back in stock at Boost. It's a steal at this price still has better specs than most phones out there especially with 512gb of storage. I bought one on last years deal and was able to unlock it via one of the unlockers who were kicked off of eBay. Many didn't have the unlock codes yet back then but would assume their available now. YMMV. I currently use mine with Instabridge esim for 5gb of free data a month. Just bought another for my wife.

Note, on product page select "I don't want protection" or Boost Protect will be added to cart at $12/month.

Specs (source [motorola.com]):
Processor: Qualcomm SM8550-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm)
Display: 6.7" 1080x2400 165Hz pOLED
RAM: 8GB LPDDR5X
Storage: 512GB
Operating system: Android 13
Battery: 5100mah
Cameras:
Rear Camera Hardware - 50MP, 1/1.5" optical format, f/1.8 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 2.0µm, Omni-directional PDAF, Optical Image Stabilization, 50MP Ultrawide angle (114° FOV), Macro Vision, f/2.2 aperture, 0.64µm pixel size | Quad Pixel, Technology for 1.28µm, 12MP Portrait (2x telephoto), f/1.6 aperture, 1.22µm pixel size, Ambient Light Sensor
Front Camera Hardware - 60MP, f/2.2 aperture, 0.61µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 1.22µm

Could someone share the whole model number for the phone - the box should have it.

I want to verify it on AT&T's whitelist.

XT2301-1 and, yes, it's on AT&T's latest whitelist.

Sending PM now.
@jongasse - I messaged you the model # (XT2301-1)
Can anyone confirm if they've received a 256GB or 512GB model? I'm only wondering because of the SKU indicating it's 256GB but the box does say 512.

After looking into this I see the Edge+ configuration is 8/512 and the regular Edge does have the 256/512 option.

All of mine are 512.

side note: I just converted RETUS A15 flashed phone to LineageOS last night so giving that a try since I already unlocked the bootloader on that one while trying to get retail software channel configured. The process was pretty straight forward.

What makes it easy to unlock is having the algorithm for the codes or access to a database and with the user being able to tell the phone to unlock if they have the code instead of receiving a signal from the carrier telling it what to do it definitely works out. Not many of the recent phones can be and this is the last of the good ones.
hey thrifty would you mind sending me the info as well?

cheers

Any suggestions for a 5G Android with replaceable battery and cover? I want to use it as a USB/ADB modem

so.. whats the best way to setup to get oem unlock/sim unlock/prevent boost crapware?

correct me if i am wrong. this is what i gathered
1) get it sim unlocked using non-boost sim on first startup.
2) dont sign into google and setup phone to do "oem unlock" (can wifi be connected?)
3) restart phone with boost sim in and power off phone (using power button) when boost software starts downloading to prevent boost crapware from installing?

My Oem Unlock relocked after inserting the Boost Sim. I think you have to flash a different firmware to prevent that, which would get rid of the Boost stuff anyway.

Mine is OEM unlocked now, after the One week Motorola policy/requirement.I also just removed the Boost apps and app cloud using the method I posted above.

Motorola phones have lots of unlock-related issues. Most Motorola Metro/T-Mobile phones can be remote unlocked due to a bunch of different flaws - only fixed with the 2025 line. The ones that take a code (like this one) have had the database of unlock codes leaked long ago.

If the phone takes a code, it's pretty easy.

Some phones that don't use a code - like Pixels - are also very easy.
My pixels 9 pro xl that I bought from at&t was never locked. Lol
