10/3/2025.
Reports are that boost may may changed their T & C.
(Around 10/1/2025 . maybe, not clear)
Requiring activating phone and using service for some time.
(3 months?).
Do your research.
However, may not matter much as phone appears to be gone for good from boost website.

You must activate the phone on boost network within 30 days of purchase.
If not you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
best practice=open the phone. activate the boost account. make a call or 2. send a text or 2
phone call &/or text just insures the phone number has been fully registered on the boost network
while not entirely necessary, just to be safe.
and not get a $600 bill or get sent to collections
[ which has happened to at least one user on this thread ]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
make sure u activate.
By checking this box I agree to e-transaction/e-signature, Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions. Once activated I authorize Boost Mobile to automatically charge my card monthly for my Boost Mobile services, taxes and surcharges. My service will not begin until my SIM is activated. If you do not activate your Device(s) on the Boost Mobile network within 30 days of purchase, you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s) (less your purchase price), if applicable, to the card used today or any alternative method. . I also agree to receive communications regarding this order via email, SMS, or phone call using the contact information provided

Buying multiple phones?
Consider this.
The first phone will be 120.
Subsequent phones (either purchased at same time on withing next few days) will be less.
Boost has a weird way of billing and its often confusion. No one has figured it out yet.
Many have made speculations:
For example. Below is from a user.
My first purchase cost me $125.90 in total then subsequently thereafter I purchased 2x more phones which came out to $94.84 each.
Since you bought the first phone at regular price, Boost treats any further purchases as an additional line since they're on the same account.
However, bear in mind Boost will automatically enable autopay again so be sure to disable it prior to your next billing cycle recurring.

Read the last 3, 4 pages, no one mentioned.

As long as I have auto pay off, after 1 month, nothing to worry about, right?
And contact thrifty for codes later.
Seems like they have official lineage. May be worth doing right away.

Quote from ThriftyGame5232 :
What makes it easy to unlock is having the algorithm for the codes or access to a database and with the user being able to tell the phone to unlock if they have the code instead of receiving a signal from the carrier telling it what to do it definitely works out. Not many of the recent phones can be and this is the last of the good ones.
hey thrifty would you mind sending me the info as well?
cheers

Some phones do require 2 codes, the edge plus isn't one of them. their system must have just spit out both for whatever odd reason. glad you got it sorted.
Thanks, do you or does anyone else have any theories on why this phone is so ridiculously easy to unlock? It is very rare these days to be able to get a cheap unlock code for a flagship phone like this.

I just ordered the phone today. Hopefully I will receive the phone very soon. Can you send me the information in inbox?
Mine is OEM unlocked now, after the One week Motorola policy/requirement.I also just removed the Boost apps and app cloud using the method I posted above.
Re-locking of the SIM back to Boost would be concerning.
My Oem Unlock relocked after inserting the Boost Sim. I think you have to flash a different firmware to prevent that, which would get rid of the Boost stuff anyway.

Just to clarify: You are talking about the Bootloader Unlock, correct? Not the SIM Unlock?

Smart Connect works for PC, tablet, TV and streaming device. I can use Smart Connect (wirelessly) with my Motorola G Stylus 2025 and my Amazon Fire stick. I get desktop mode. Both will be dependant on wifi. I tried to use data and hotspot and it won't work. When I try Smart Connect with my Motorola G Stylus 2025 and a google chromecast, it won't work but will just do screen mirroring similar to how my pixel 9a works with chromecast. The Motorola G Stylus 2025 doesn't have Ready For (wired capability).
Thanks, didn't know it worked with Firestick mirror mode. Odd it works for that but not Android TV.
Yes, has to have USB 3 for display out(Smart Connect,) no wifi involved. My pixel 9 Pro XL has display out, but only a janky developer mode desktop, that's nowhere near as nice and functional as this phone.
Unfortunately in the US, Motorola only sells their mid to low end phones now, without USB 3.0, unless you want a foldable razr. This is the last us sold Motorola, other than foldables, that has it.
I guess one could buy a European edge 50 Ultra. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 16gb of Ram, 125w charging.

I also have a $10 Logitech Bluetooth mouse I sometimes use, but you can use the phone screen as you know.
