Boost Mobile [boostmobile.com] has 512GB Motorola edge+ 2023 Smartphone (Boost Mobile Locked, Black) on sale for $59.99 + $60 1-Month Unlimited Talk/Text/Data Service = $119.99. Shipping is free.

This phone is now back in stock at Boost. It's a steal at this price still has better specs than most phones out there especially with 512gb of storage. I bought one on last years deal and was able to unlock it via one of the unlockers who were kicked off of eBay. Many didn't have the unlock codes yet back then but would assume their available now. YMMV. I currently use mine with Instabridge esim for 5gb of free data a month. Just bought another for my wife.

Note, on product page select "I don't want protection" or Boost Protect will be added to cart at $12/month.

Specs (source [motorola.com]):
Processor: Qualcomm SM8550-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm)
Display: 6.7" 1080x2400 165Hz pOLED
RAM: 8GB LPDDR5X
Storage: 512GB
Operating system: Android 13
Battery: 5100mah
Cameras:
Rear Camera Hardware - 50MP, 1/1.5" optical format, f/1.8 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 2.0µm, Omni-directional PDAF, Optical Image Stabilization, 50MP Ultrawide angle (114° FOV), Macro Vision, f/2.2 aperture, 0.64µm pixel size | Quad Pixel, Technology for 1.28µm, 12MP Portrait (2x telephoto), f/1.6 aperture, 1.22µm pixel size, Ambient Light Sensor
Front Camera Hardware - 60MP, f/2.2 aperture, 0.61µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 1.22µm

For some stupid reason, Motorola decided to hide the ability to view "screen on" time on all their phones after the update to Android 15. To bring it back, install Shortcut Maker from the Google Play Store. Go to Activity, search for Battery Usage and create shortcut.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding. Was there a different way to view screen on time then going to settings/battery/battery usage?I can still view that when I do this on the latest Android 15.You can also go to settings/ digital well-being.

Digital wellbeing doesn't show "since last full charge". The old one does.

Yeah, that's still in the regular settings/battery usage for me, when you don't, click on a specific day. It doesn't do me any good since I charge to 80%,, it only tracks 100% charging. The same way with my pixel. https://imgur.com/a/2Dpq4Hg

Do we need to actively cancel the line or does it get canceled if you simply don't pay from the second month?

Simply do not pay 2nd month but make sure to sign in and disable auto-pay.

I just got mine out of the box, immediately inserted my current carrier SIM and tried to use the code provided by Thrifty. And it WORKED!

Yeah, it really is a steal at this price.

even better when you ask for the $60 refund if you ported your number in.
How do you do that? I would like to

But I didn't want to lose my number or chance to get the rebate back on Captial1 shopping portal
They offer a 30 days money back guarantee on service, if you ported in your number. Call tell them you are unsatisfied and would like to be refunded. They will give you the opportunity to save the number by porting out, as long as its still within your 30 days of original service.
Can I ask for the refund if it's a new number?
I don't think so, but worth a try. the website listed the conditions, I bet you need to meet all conditions

"To be eligible for a full refund, including taxes and fees:

  • Create a new Boost Mobile account and activate one or more line(s)
  • Transfer or "port" in your number from another carrier
  • Enrolled in Autopay
  • Request a refund with customer care within 30 days of account creation"

6 Android Security updates later... Still no Android 15... LOL
Why can't we just update the to latest update available instead of doing one by one like this...? This is a terrible experience.

I really don't like this curved screen. It's my first phone with one, and now I remember why I never had a phone with a curved screen in the past, and why the new phones by the major manufacturers come with flat screens... The edges create this weird halo / color shift / darker hue and it annoys the heck out of me. Plus, the left and right edges of the screen don't get any protection on the TPU case I got... Not optimal.

It's an incredibly powerful phone, the most powerful I've ever owned by a long shot, but the curved display is definitely not for everyone.

Use Lenovo Rescue & Recovery next time, you can skip all the manual updates.

Install on windows PC
Open program
Plug in USB to PC
Power off phone
Hold Volume down while plugging other end of USB into phone
Follow prompts in program, it will download the latest update and install it onto the phone, saves hours.
