Boost Mobile [boostmobile.com] has 512GB Motorola edge+ 2023 Smartphone (Boost Mobile Locked, Black) on sale for $59.99 + $60 1-Month Unlimited Talk/Text/Data Service = $119.99. Shipping is free.

This phone is now back in stock at Boost. It's a steal at this price still has better specs than most phones out there especially with 512gb of storage. I bought one on last years deal and was able to unlock it via one of the unlockers who were kicked off of eBay. Many didn't have the unlock codes yet back then but would assume their available now. YMMV. I currently use mine with Instabridge esim for 5gb of free data a month. Just bought another for my wife.

Note, on product page select "I don't want protection" or Boost Protect will be added to cart at $12/month.

Specs (source [motorola.com]):
Processor: Qualcomm SM8550-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm)
Display: 6.7" 1080x2400 165Hz pOLED
RAM: 8GB LPDDR5X
Storage: 512GB
Operating system: Android 13
Battery: 5100mah
Cameras:
Rear Camera Hardware - 50MP, 1/1.5" optical format, f/1.8 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 2.0µm, Omni-directional PDAF, Optical Image Stabilization, 50MP Ultrawide angle (114° FOV), Macro Vision, f/2.2 aperture, 0.64µm pixel size | Quad Pixel, Technology for 1.28µm, 12MP Portrait (2x telephoto), f/1.6 aperture, 1.22µm pixel size, Ambient Light Sensor
Front Camera Hardware - 60MP, f/2.2 aperture, 0.61µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 1.22µm

I have the Pixel 9a and it's great. The Visible deal at $199. 2 months ago was a must have and the best part was it was unlocked! I stuck a prepaid T-Mo sim in and getting 140-160 down. Love the bright screen on the 9a and running Android 16 now. The 6a still works fine too. I saw them new on eBay at $139 on Total and the 60 day unlock is bonus.
I really like the Pixel 9a too. It will be my secondary phone. I like the improvements over the 6a. I used the $150 "Pixel 6a nerfed battery" credit from Google and used the trade-in to Google. The biggest reason why I switched over to the Motorola Edge+ 2023 as my daily driver phone is the large great display. 6.3" vs 6.67" display. One can't go wrong with either phone. Both are great phones. If I put them head to head, Motorola has their advantages and Pixel has their advantages. We all know what they are.

You can activate without opening the boxes most times. Call activity from that device is not necessary, at least not currently.
I have sent a dm, please check
Unlock code is in your inbox.

Indeed, Thrifty is going to be a millionaire at this rate...! LOL
The phone is nice, besides Monitor output and sheer SoC power and gaming performance, I find this phone to perform just as good as my Moto G Stylus 5G 2024. I couldn't see any noticeable difference between the two on normal usage. I do much prefer a flat screen over a curved one. Reason why I'm sticking with my Stylus 5G for now. Haven't been able to find a case that protects the edges of the display in case of an accidental drop on a parking lot, etc.

Lol, maybe one day. I thank you and everyone else who has reached out to get unlocked. I'm here to help and to make the unlocking part easy as everyone can see.

That Stylus version is the low end phone. This Edge+is the high-end phone. The stylus got only 500k AnTuTu benchmark scores vs the edge+ got 1.4m AnTuTu benchmark scores.

I get the downside of not having a case with side lip protection on the edge+ 2023 but it really hasn't given me any other issues like accidental touches. I find the Edge+ 2023 more comfortable to use than the Motorola Moto G Stylus 2025 which is same size dimensions as the 2024. I think the big PRO is the display quality, haptics and speaker over the Stylus. The Stylus screen is nice but Edge+ speaker is awesome. The Stylus speaker is its con compared to its competitors like Samsung and Pixel. Haptics way stronger with the Edge+. There are lot more positives too. I like the Stylus 2025 a lot and think it is definitely daily driver phone worthy but I definitely prefer Edge+.
With the Motorola Moto G Stylus 2024, it doesn't even have any gorilla glass. It has a hardened scratch resistant display. The Stylus 2025 got Gorilla Glass 3. The Edge+ is using Victus Gorilla Glass which is 2x more scratch resistant than Gorilla Glass 6 so you know it is far more stronger than your Stylus 2024 hardened display with tempered glass. I have never cracked or scratched any of my phone's display. I used tempered glasses with majority but the ones that have the slight curved display, I didn't use any tempered glass and just a case. I didn't damage them.
You could also use Supershieldz film protection against scratches and probably helps a little bit more against drops on display contact. You shouldn't let the edge curve deter you from using the Edge+. It has very strong Victus. There is still lip protection on the top, bottom and corners with the Edge+ case. It still has side protection but no side lip protection. If I were to drop the Edge+ with my case on on a hardwood floor, I can't see how the display can make any contact with the flat floor as it has raised corner lip protection. With bumpy gravel ground, I have never ever dropped any of my phones on gravel. Hold phone more secure on gravel ground. It also helps when one pays $120 sale on a phone rather than $799.99 launch price to be little bit more risky with having a lesser case protection.

Nope, if the credit card company let the charge goes through after you already freeze your card, then the credit card company has to pay for that not you because it is clearly their fault.
This is from American Express. https://www.americanexpress.com/u...-card.html "Freezing your Card prevents it from being used for new purchases. However, recurring bills, such as subscriptions or monthly bills, will post to your account as usual. Also, your Card can still be used for digital wallet transactions (for example, a purchase you paid for using your mobile device with Apple Pay), and some online purchases at merchants where your Card is on file. Offline authorizations (such as purchases made aboard airlines), and delayed authorizations will also still post. Your Card will be unfrozen automatically 7 days after you first freeze your Card."
Looking around at the other major banks basically say the same thing. Here's Chase https://www.chase.com/personal/cr...uick-guide
I highly doubt locking/freezing your card would block a recurring payment to Boost. Your better off turning off AutoPay, using a prepaid card or a virtual card and then deleting it.

Is it mandatory to activate on Boost or I can simply unlock and start using a different carrier? TIA

If you don't activate it with Boost, you'll be charged $600 per the terms when you checked out.

were people able to port out their number and still get a successful refund for the monthly fee?
