Boost Mobile [boostmobile.com] has 512GB Motorola edge+ 2023 Smartphone (Boost Mobile Locked, Black) on sale for $59.99 + $60 1-Month Unlimited Talk/Text/Data Service = $119.99. Shipping is free.

This phone is now back in stock at Boost. It's a steal at this price still has better specs than most phones out there especially with 512gb of storage. I bought one on last years deal and was able to unlock it via one of the unlockers who were kicked off of eBay. Many didn't have the unlock codes yet back then but would assume their available now. YMMV. I currently use mine with Instabridge esim for 5gb of free data a month. Just bought another for my wife.

Note, on product page select "I don't want protection" or Boost Protect will be added to cart at $12/month.

Specs (source [motorola.com]):
Processor: Qualcomm SM8550-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm)
Display: 6.7" 1080x2400 165Hz pOLED
RAM: 8GB LPDDR5X
Storage: 512GB
Operating system: Android 13
Battery: 5100mah
Cameras:
Rear Camera Hardware - 50MP, 1/1.5" optical format, f/1.8 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 2.0µm, Omni-directional PDAF, Optical Image Stabilization, 50MP Ultrawide angle (114° FOV), Macro Vision, f/2.2 aperture, 0.64µm pixel size | Quad Pixel, Technology for 1.28µm, 12MP Portrait (2x telephoto), f/1.6 aperture, 1.22µm pixel size, Ambient Light Sensor
Front Camera Hardware - 60MP, f/2.2 aperture, 0.61µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 1.22µm

I just ordered one, and I too want to know, are there any good cheap cases for this?

I got a good case for the Motorola Edge+ 2023 and it is the dual carbon case. It is a highly rated generic popular style case but it is a really good case. I had the same design for my Motorola G Stylus 2022. The case is low in price, slim, provides protection, has responsive buttons, correct cutouts, has lip protection and looks nice. Unfortunately with the curved display edge, it won't provide side lip protection but the case does have top, bottom and corners protection. The corner protection actually provides side protection as a fall on a flat floor like wood or marble floor will not make contact with the side edge display. If it falls on the edge of the table, it will make contact with the edge side display though as lip protection isn't there. One could look at the film protection like supershieldz or the hydrogel for display protection. I am not using any display protection and taking the risk now. I will trust victus gorilla glass and be a little bit more careful using my phone.

  • It has a 4.6 out of 5 star review score (18 reviews) but with the same design generic case in another Amazon listing, it has a 4.5 out of 5 star rating (280 reviews).

Does this work with other phones from other carriers? I saw a metro by tmobile deal for a galaxy s25 fe.
After unlock most carriers... Verizon, T-Mobile or ATT based. I tried with Visible and T-Mobile only.

I got this case for a different phone a year or so ago, the sides were kinda slippery, so easy to pick slide out of hand, notice it is smooth and flat, and a smaller surface area. There's an older design of these cases, where the sides have a rough texture, which helped grip, especially on a thin profile phone like this.

Did you have to pay any additional shipping & handling fees with the new tariffs and customs rules?

Yea. The case doesn't have that rubber grip tackiness like my spigen liquid cases that I usually get with almost all my other phones. While the Motorola Edge+ 2023 thin curved edges make it more comfortable to hold than regular flat sides, it could make it easier for the phone to slip out of the hand. I haven't had the Motorola Edge+ 2023 fall out of my hands but I had it fall out of my pockets from my running shorts (small pockets) in the gym a couple times already. The gym has foam floor so I am not worried. My Samsung Galaxy A54 with a thin spigen case stayed in my running shorts pocket better. Little bit heavier, little bit smaller and little bit thicker with Spigen case makes it better to stay inside small running short pockets. Maybe the spigen tackiness helped too.

Ordered mine and just shipped yesterday. Was planning on following the instructions in the OP community notes for steps to activate however this morning received an email from Boost saying I'm all set and my devices are activated. Never activated myself, Boost appears to have preactivated the devices. What is the process now?
Edit: Upon checking my Boost app the devices are indeed activated prior to arrival. So much for the steps outlined in the thread to activate properly.

There's nothing wrong with Boost activating them prior to delivery, of course minus the days in transit that you're missing service days on. You won't have an improperly activated device or anything to worry about.

Thanks, just asking about the process. Not sure if the SIMs are preinstalled and if it's as straightforward as making a call and a text to register on the network and that's it. Was hoping to avoid installing the Boost bloat by activating offline as per the OP notes. Guess I will have to debloat manually. Going to be bringing the phones from Detroit into Canada so want to make sure i don't miss a step. Like everyone planning on cancelling my account without any hassles.

Gotcha, no the SIM won't be preinstalled so you're safe there to avoid the bloatware. The SIM is only activated and ready to use when you receive it.
