Boost Mobile [boostmobile.com] has 512GB Motorola edge+ 2023 Smartphone (Boost Mobile Locked, Black) on sale for $59.99 + $60 1-Month Unlimited Talk/Text/Data Service = $119.99. Shipping is free.

This phone is now back in stock at Boost. It's a steal at this price still has better specs than most phones out there especially with 512gb of storage. I bought one on last years deal and was able to unlock it via one of the unlockers who were kicked off of eBay. Many didn't have the unlock codes yet back then but would assume their available now. YMMV. I currently use mine with Instabridge esim for 5gb of free data a month. Just bought another for my wife.

Note, on product page select "I don't want protection" or Boost Protect will be added to cart at $12/month.

Specs (source [motorola.com]):
Processor: Qualcomm SM8550-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm)
Display: 6.7" 1080x2400 165Hz pOLED
RAM: 8GB LPDDR5X
Storage: 512GB
Operating system: Android 13
Battery: 5100mah
Cameras:
Rear Camera Hardware - 50MP, 1/1.5" optical format, f/1.8 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 2.0µm, Omni-directional PDAF, Optical Image Stabilization, 50MP Ultrawide angle (114° FOV), Macro Vision, f/2.2 aperture, 0.64µm pixel size | Quad Pixel, Technology for 1.28µm, 12MP Portrait (2x telephoto), f/1.6 aperture, 1.22µm pixel size, Ambient Light Sensor
Front Camera Hardware - 60MP, f/2.2 aperture, 0.61µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 1.22µm

That's because there are many sites offering unlocking service. The site I went to (also mentioned in this thread) was just under $8.

I ran an AnTuTu benchmark version 11 on this phone and it got 1.8M AnTuTu scores. That is an impressive score for $120 phone. Oh wait $120 only if no collection from Boost Mobile after the 1st month. 😄

The price is really funny, since old phone in tech years. The 8 Gen2 is a flagship chip, doesn't matter that the phone is $10 or $500 like an old S23 Ultra. Usually something this old gets discontinued by the carrier. Why is Moto still making these? That's my thought. They are losing so much.

Most phones in this range on SD are slow or have too many compromises, like 128GB or poor screen. The battery on this phone with custom is unlike anything I've seen. Most times I charge every 3 days.

Yeah the battery is impressive and it drained only a few % overnight idle versus the edge+ 2022 drained 25% overnight idling. They both used the same softwares.

I'm actually wondering if Motorola had a lot of overstock of these but didn't want to lower their retail prices too much so Boost picked them up for a song.

crazy how capital one increases the cashback offer to $120 just when this deal is out of stock.

it was $105 two days ago.

this could've been a moneymaker deal if i got the 30day money back guarantee

This is the best Motorola you can get in the US. Their newer phones have cheap Mediatek chips and GPUs.

The $1300 2025 razr ultra, and the razr+ have newer Snapdragon CPUs, but USB 2.0, so no Display/Smart Connect out via cable. I personally have no interest in a folding phone.

When I bought my Sony 65Z9D TV in 2019, it was a 2016 model that was still being made because it was their best TV. Newer ones were not as good. It's like they secretly knew people wanted actual good quality so they kept making it, but they were making their money on newer models that were cheaper to make.

To be fair though, they didn't intended for it to be sold for $120. Just happened to be a deal boost decided to do to get customers. I'm sure they didn't know about the unlock.

Motorola stopped creating the new version of Edge+ after 2023, so maybe fans are still wanting this version.

Yea. The battery is quite impressive for such a powerful processor. There are so many PROs to this phone. Even when I put my Samsung, Pixel and this Motorola phone all side by side, I actually think the Motorola has the best user interface of the 3. They all have very good user interface but I think Motorola has the best interface of the bunch. I guess the edge panel would be called a con as it is impossible for tempered glass protection. The obvious con is the longevity of software support but apps still get their security support from app store and I have avast free app on my older outdated phones. I still used my outdated security Motorola G Stylus 2022 as "mini tablet" and didn't get viruses. I think there is some exaggeration and fear mongering when it comes to security updates. The phone isn't a brick once it gets its last security update. I think it is also companies wanting planned obsolescence. Motorola wants you to buy more phones every couple years. System updates? There are barely any noticeable difference between operating system updates and I got the Pixel. Sure it would be better to get Samsung or Pixel long software support but I don't think a high percentage of customers use their phones for 5 years especially with "phone bordemn" and battery wear and tear. This Motorola phone is definitely the best Motorola phone that I ever got and probably the best phone ever for me. It is the highest launched MSRP phone that I got so I shouldn't be too surprised.
