10/3/2025.
Reports are that boost may may changed their T & C.
(Around 10/1/2025 . maybe, not clear)
Requiring activating phone and using service for some time.
(3 months?).
Do your research.
However, may not matter much as phone appears to be gone for good from boost website.

You must activate the phone on boost network within 30 days of purchase.
If not you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
best practice=open the phone. activate the boost account. make a call or 2. send a text or 2
phone call &/or text just insures the phone number has been fully registered on the boost network
while not entirely necessary, just to be safe.
and not get a $600 bill or get sent to collections
[ which has happened to at least one user on this thread ]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
make sure u activate.
By checking this box I agree to e-transaction/e-signature, Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions. Once activated I authorize Boost Mobile to automatically charge my card monthly for my Boost Mobile services, taxes and surcharges. My service will not begin until my SIM is activated. If you do not activate your Device(s) on the Boost Mobile network within 30 days of purchase, you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s) (less your purchase price), if applicable, to the card used today or any alternative method. . I also agree to receive communications regarding this order via email, SMS, or phone call using the contact information provided

Buying multiple phones?
Consider this.
The first phone will be 120.
Subsequent phones (either purchased at same time on withing next few days) will be less.
Boost has a weird way of billing and its often confusion. No one has figured it out yet.
Many have made speculations:
For example. Below is from a user.
My first purchase cost me $125.90 in total then subsequently thereafter I purchased 2x more phones which came out to $94.84 each.
Since you bought the first phone at regular price, Boost treats any further purchases as an additional line since they're on the same account.
However, bear in mind Boost will automatically enable autopay again so be sure to disable it prior to your next billing cycle recurring.

"hidden"? I got my device today, still on stock A14 and see Settings->"Network & Internet"->"SIM preferences"->eSIM ("Not configured")->"eSIM card setup" (notification)->"TAKE ME THERE"->"Connect to Wi-Fi" (not yet done)
esim settings are unhidden when your phone has not been activated/setup with boost mobile yet.
once you activate, the esim setting disappears unless you factory reset
I updated the firmware before doing anything SIM-related and found there is no option available now.
Before: U1TR34.8-30-8
Current: V1TR35H.60-33-5-2
Thank you! Worked like a charm.
Also works for me. Thanks for sharing!

I mentioned previously how I used "Rescue" to download "RTWO_G_V1TR35H.60_33_5_2_subsidy_DISH_WILD_regulatory_DEFAULT_cid50_CFC.xml.zip", and I manually flashed all of the partition elements and wiped everything.
I had just now installed the pSIM, am connected, and see in it's attempt to download: "The update package being downloaded is not compatible with the current software version on the device."
I already note the 'S' after "V1TR"
Welp, got some digging to do...
Ah, well that wasn't too far of a jump. I'm pretty sure it's checking the partitions to see if they've been touched, and I do use Magisk for the boot partition. No biggee.
@ThriftyGame5232
Tried to send you a PM and I don't think it went through, I also need help with the unlock.
Message sent. Thank you.

Can you send me PM for unlock as well? Thank you!
I have been able to use the esim on the phone I got last year. I was able to activate T-Mobile's 3 month Network Pass trial. Takes a little work but eventually it downloads the esim. I also downloaded Firsty which gives some free data. Currently using Instabridge which gives 5gb a month free and that is good enough to be my only source of data paired up with Google Voice. You can definitely get an esim activated on this phone.
The Esim is NOT locked on boost firmware.
But menu for esim is hidden by default on this phone, that's all. Esim is added when a QR code is scanned.
That ended up NOT being the case...
I can add the esim just fine using the qrcode data, but then I get:
\*****
SIM service provider unlock partition
SIM locked for operator:
Unlock
Dismiss

I think it was this comment that made me think I could just add an esim without needing a carrier/network-unlock.

it's a little bit on the heavier/more protective side but that's definitely how i prefer my cases anyway, thats why i bought it. fits great. also has a metal ring in the back which can be a kickstand which i also like kickstand cases. for $7 cant go wrong.
also i noticed there was a #news bloatware that comes up after the phone sleeps for a while (not the swipe left google news thing which i dont mind). it's actually just an app called #news and you can just uninstall. took me way too long to figure out how to get rid of it lol
I want to move the Verizon line to eSIM, so I can put a physical SIM from another service into the phone (I can't convert the other service to eSIM).
I tried by using the My Verizon app, running on this phone. I get to where I ask the app to move the line to another device, but it seems to be headed in the direction of sending me a seoncd SIM card. The My Verizon app asks for the IMEI number of the target device. I had tried with both IMEI1 and IMEI2 from this phone and the app took the same path. It seems the app is not taking the eSIM path (which the app does suggest exists).
Has someone succeeded in changing their Verzion line from SIM to eSIM, with this phone?
I've unlocked the phone and I don't see call recording option. Anybody have it? Other motorola phones have call recorder. Or is it disappeared cuz i'm using it in canada
Looks like its unavailable in Canada - https://support.google.com/phonea...0889?hl=en
I've been using GCam since 2019 during the rise of the Pocophone, and if you're lucky enough to be able to find a config .xml w/ preconfigured settings that's compatible w/ the version of GCam you're using, that could take the quality of your photos far.
will it work on this phone?

Interesting. Do you have a call recording button? I'm using a Korean SIM card and a Canadian eSIM, so my phone doesn't allow me to turn off the shutter sound, since in Korea the shutter sound is "recommended" by the government. It might be the same with call recording, but it still feels strange. In both Korea and Canada, call recording is legal.
