True story but I actually already got Wells Fargo back. In 2011 I bought a $350K house for $80K on a short sale and wells Fargo was the mortgage holder on that sale. Wells Fargo is one if the dirtiest banks period they have been sued several times for their credit card billing practices ( receiving then sitting on payment checks until after due date ETC) and for faking customers and all sorts of other things! OF course no one pays by check anymore but this was 30+ years ago. I guess I should get over my grudge at some point but I'm hold on to it for a bit more!
You could also check if you're 'pre-qualified' before actually filling out the application. Doing that doesn't affect your credit score and saves you time.
The annoying thing about this is if your credit is frozen seems to take like 24hrs before it realizes it is unfrozen.
I just activated my yearly free 30 day trial of Prime, yesterday. I know see the deal. So the 5% cash back only applies as long as my Prime is active right? But I would still get to keep the gift card right? I won't renew Prime when the free trial is up, so does anyone know do you get any cash back without the Prime membership? Thanks

Never mind I just found it. Without Prime it falls to 3% cash back
That wasn't my experience. I unfroze mine at all three agencies, applied, was approved instantly.
Sorry, meant the precheck not actual approval. I can get approved for Chase business cards all day long but for some reason this one immediately rejects me and I don't know why. Only have two Chase personal cards. Cancelled my Amazon card like a year ago. I'm thinking it is an Amazon thing but just not sure.
bought Apple Watch 10 cellular for 399, applied, got 200 off, then purchased it for 228 after tax, and closed it 5 minutes later.
woot. ! I am pretty sure ive gotten about 2k off chase in last 5 years, 300 bank account, 800 off another credit card after spent 3000 in 3 months, spent it in a day on a car repair, 200 off this. and misc stuff.
chase hates me. as soon as I bought the watch, all the watches jumped 30 dollars in price. strange. guy on phone said 'you opened it 10 minutes ago and closing? thats strange. I said I got the 200 dollar card, it's all I needed' he said ok. well it's closed. thanks. bye.
I highly doubt they seem to put notes, because I keep churning chase. suckers.
whats funny is I dont even have prime, I was simply checking tax price in cart, and it said HERES 7 DAYS FREE! so I redeemed it, and canceled it, and then saw the 200 offer in cart.
I don't understand why you would close it instantly just lock the card and they will cancel it soon enough, unless chase has a limit on credit cards you can get with them I guess I could understand that or if you cancel it instantly it won't affect your credit age ?
