It can mean nothing. SD has been having front page deals with little to no comments or thumbs up. A lot being promoted by SD staff.
While many have very little comments and many posted by Staff only, that has become the nature of SD, no matter how good a deal, there are those diehards that must make some negative comment for posting a deal. Which I am sure you understand since having been a member since 2011 stopped posting deals long ago.
In fact, this morning,I found 2 deals that were definitely Prime Day deals (possibly price mistakes) that I chose not to post and just share with friends/family who also got in on the deal and were appreciative of me telling them.
Despite having posting dozens of front page deals over the years, I've learned what you learned long ago; no point in sharing with an ungrateful community. Just friends and family from now on. Since the staff gets paid for posting, let them take all the abuse. And then the only comments left are comments calling all deals: shill posts by SD

I have items in my wish list labeled prime day deals and some them are more expensive compared to other times or at least at near everyday price. Prime deals has gone the way of Black Friday going off of hype
But that rule can be said of any deal any day not just on prime day.
