i feel u but microUSB isn't as durable as type C so the lifespan of the controller is going to be lower too. there are other cheap controllers with type C. abxylute just released a cheap controller with hall effect sticks and type C for under $30

My PS4 controller from 2015 still mostly works... The failure point was the stick drift, but the cable still charges. Definitely worn but micro USB isn't exactly made of glass. I really think it barely wears faster than USB c.

yeah usually when it's sony or any other 1st party controller they tend to have better port durability than other companies. msi is a big company but i don't think i'd trust it as much as a ds4 port for port
