While there is certainly still potential for impact to quality, I don't think we've seen any decline (at least not yet). Kering claims to want to preserve the same quality, but we'll see long term.
IMO maui jim are high quality and have some of the best lenses in the game. The glass lenses especially have exceptional clarity, though can feel a bit heavy if that bothers you. I like the maui rose colored ones the best.
Frame quality is generally good too, but can vary more by model. The thin ones are obviously going to be more fragile.
These prices are good, but not great. As someone else mentioned Costco sometimes beats this - but usually selection is limited to just a few models. So if there's a specific one you want, could be worth it to pull the trigger here.

Im an Oakley Holbrook kinda guy......I have a pair of Maui Jim Pokowai's and they are very similar....fit, finish and quality are better on the Maui Jim's (they have nose pads and are more comfortable for long periods) but more expensive.
Lenses still have some scratches but seems to be a little less than Oakley's.

I bought some maui jim's from costco and really disliked them. So my Oakley's are still my primary sunglasses. Could have been the pair I ordered, but with the drive to costco and waiting 15 minutes in line for returns, I haven't tried any more pairs.

I purchased a pair of MJs from woot a few weeks ago when they had them. It came in a very plain retail box that was partially opened. Had papers, microfiber bag, and very cheap folding case. These were quite different from my previous retail purchases of MJ eyewear. I am on the fence on keeping them or returning as they don't feel as high quality in plastic as my previous purchases over the years. I currently have 3 pairs of MJ that I rotate.

MJ was bought out in 2022, I'm sure we'll see a decline in quality now, similar to what Luxottica has done to Oakley, RayBan, etc

They were bought by Kering, not Luxxotica.

I tried on some at REI, great fit and light as feather. I didn't get them though, since with how I handle glasses i tend to destroy them so I stay with $10 special.

MJs is the only brand that fit my big head. I tried Oakley Asian fit and still too small. The "$10 cheapies" I won't even try because they won't fit. So if you have a big head or high cheek bones, these are great.
Unfortunately they discontinued the "hot sands" model, which I currently wear.
