The problem is shipping damage lottery, they leak because it basically comes down the people from UPS/FedEx or the reseller who shipped it and how they handled it.
It's not really portable, weighs 80lbs so not easily movable, needs to be close to the windows, I guess the pipe length is very small too.
Keep that in mind.. Before purchasing

its about a milk crate square.
i think the other hisense 8000 one is just as good and the profile is just wider. but it is lighter. i kept both. the tubes in back no matter take up space to the window.
it is pretty easy to use.
and lets you preset favorites. i have a setting for day time use and when i am sleeping
the other hisense and midea costco models are lighter around 50 to 60.
Dual hose models can work more like a window unit--they recirculate cool air into the room and then use one hose to pull in fresh air to cool the element and the second hose to push that warm air back outside. Since you are recirculating the air in the room, it cools much faster and with less waste.
I'm half tempted to get one for my office despite having central AC. Its in the 2nd floor above the garage and it gets hot...I really have to blast the AC in the rest of the house to make it comfortable and my windows are too narrow for a window unit. Short of upgrading my whole HVAC to a dual-zone system (or risking the life of the air handler by closing vents/doing a ghetto-rigged dual-zone), this is my best option.
Dual hose + inverter (which this unit has) is the best you can get if you are forced to use a portable AC.
Pretty good deal for a dual hose unit. Pulled the trigger.
Energy Efficiency Ratio is 13.0 for those of you curious.
Bought one and returned it the next day, sadly. Really wanted to love it!
