they both will do the exact same thing. this is nice, if u have a few dewalt batteries in ur ride at all times. those jump packs are great, but when you pull it out of the backseat and find out it has no juice, that kinda sucks.
That's why I prefer a supercap jumper (aka batteryless jumper). If Dewalt ever makes a supercap jumper that uses the 20v batteries to charge the caps, then the caps to start the vehicle, that's a product I'd be interested in.

I love my super cap too. A lot of people don't even know what they are or how they work. The fact that you never have to charge them they basically will last you a lifetime is the number one reason I got one.

I have owned a total of 4 different jump starters in multiple vehicles and never have I been left with a dead starter. If you're the kind of person who forgets it's there to charge it, then what's the difference between that and the Dewalt batteries?
For $40 you can buy an actual good quality jump starter that can start your car.
if you are a person that using ur dewalt tools on a daily basis, there is a good chance you have a charger battery in ur car/truck when you need it.

as opposed to those jump packs that may sit dormant for 10 months in the back pocket until you need it, or need to help someone in a parking lot.

thats the difference.
