I've had my account since 2021. The cost of lifetime already paid for itself (compared to paying monthly). I use this primarily for new image and video backups as my music library hasn't really changed in years.

The download speed from the app is good. If I had to complain, it does take awhile for a full upload sync, but it has always completed.

I am sure there are elitists who will find something to complain about to justify their own purchases, but I am satisfied with the service. I believe they will be around in the future.

I will answer basic questions but dont want to debate on services...

One more thing. I didnt buy the privacy/encryption addon... for the things I need encrypted, I use cryptomator.

I had pCloud. I found the interface ancient and extremely slow. I bought because of the hype. It took me many minutes to download a file from their system. Cancelled my subscription and went with backblaze. Just my experience. I don't think pCloud is making the interface updates and file access speed improvements that are necessary.

I purchased 2TB lifetime in 2019. I'm a happy customer. It syncs better and faster than OneDrive for me.

Some thoughts around this.
Example: 2 TB of cloud storage 10 years from now is likely going be fairly cheap.
"2 TB Shared link traffic" is where you needed to focus on. This says you only can Download/Upload up to 2TB a month.
I'm Not saying this is a bad deal, just trying to shed light on what you are buying.

Shared link traffic limits only apply to downloads and uploads through links shared with others. Don't think it applies to the traffic generated by one on their own account through upload/download.

I have been a current pCloud customer for roughly 5-6 years now and have not had any service issues. For those wondering how long these guys will stay in business, they seem to be doing well thus far given my experience. That being said, pCloud runs these sorts of promotions on the semi-regular, especially on Black Friday, so don't get taken by FOMO. As far as use, I'm not a tech guy, I just use it to have a back up for my files/photos and it works great for that purpose. Cheers.

Boxx, VPNSecure, SiriusXM, and many other companies, started with lifetime memberships and have either shut down or canceled customers lifetime memberships at some point. There are plenty of other examples of companies who could not afford to keep the lights on just with lifetime memberships.

I still have my Sirius lifetime subscription that I paid $500 for back around 2005. No issues.
